AEW wins a bunch of New Japan and CMLL belts (along with the disastrous TNA collaboration that actively hurt TNA), Dave says nothing. IYO and AJ win one-off matches in Japan that had nothing at stake, he starts crying that WWE is doing nothing for them. Clown.

The Observer radio shows from that period are available here, go check them out. They’re heaping tons of praise on the WWF, and the WCW marks online were saying they were on the payroll, and hating on WCW. No, 2000 WWF was just great and 2000 WCW sucked.

IYO didn't make every possible move. There are several other old moves she didn't do. I was expecting a moon stomp, but she might not risk it because she had ankle surgery during NXT aside from it being a very dangerous move.

He's been reporting on Japanese wrestling since the early 80s. Tiger Mask vs. Dynamite Kid was the first 5 star match. If you know Dave you should know his love of puro. Hell, if you know modern TNA or indies you might as well know puro.

I heard it a few times recently that wwe are only helping themselves working with other companies ?? Tna have been featured on wwe tv way more than when they worked with aew and there crowds never rised which they currently have for the ppv, theyve sold 4k tickets omega wrestled there infront of 100 if your been generous and there not stealing all the talent like aew did from nwa and new japan so i don’t understand this criticism??

They're definitely signing Giulia, Bozilla, Joe Hendry and Jordyne Grace as soon as possible. Wouldn't be surprised if they eventually make a play to bring Sareee and Pete Wentz back too. Just because they're playing nice now doesn't mean they don't have a plan.

Dempsey lost to Nakajima in AJPW, Jordynne Grace has beaten Stevie Turner, Izzi Dame, and Tatum Paxley. Joe Hendry got the pinfall in the main event of a WWE show. Rascalz are 100% going over Gallus on NXT tomorrow. WWE only recently started partnering with other companies and somehow it's a bad thing because they didn't have 2 of the greatest wrestlers of all time in Iyo and AJ lose??? Vince would've rather died than let any of these partnerships happen like this. We're blessed as wrestling fans right now.

Marufuji and AJ are winding down I get that, the win there doesn't matter too much but Iyo beating Marigold's rising star does not make sense for a PARTNERSHIP. That's not a partnership.

@@22srs22 Iyo is the reason Utami started wrestling. That was her dream match and I would bet anything that Utami didn't even want to win out of respect for her idol. WWE sent one of the best women's wrestlers in the world to wrestle in Marigold (which helped sell a ton of tickets btw) and they did it for free. As a gesture of good faith. The fact that you're hung up on the loss is crazy to me. Iyo is a legend in Japan and still in her prime. You're only bothered by it because she works for WWE. And so what if they're from NXT? They're still WWE wrestlers that are regularly featured on TV. It kills the narrative that they won't let their talent lose to wrestlers from other companies. WWE doesn't have to lend their stars because they're already on top and don't gain much of anything from it, but they're still doing it. That speaks volumes. This isn't the old WWE that was run by a selfish and disgusting egomaniac.

@@MrJustinbiebersux This still doesn't dispute that this won't help Marigold in the long run, what's wrong with Iyo putting over a young rising star outside the company? It's not like they'll be doing anything with her soon. Marigold may have gotten a boost but how is this booking gonna continue in the long run? A gesture of good faith would be to not go over one of their rising talent. Also, idc if Utami wanted to job or not, wrestlers don't always have the best foresight for their careers. Plenty of examples there. Also NXT wrestlers, you think any of them would go over a WWE main roster lower card guy? Hell no, they're the low rung of the WWE. Jobbers to the jobbers, so it's OKAY for them to lose to outsiders.
