This was the first game to ever have titantron "videos" playing during entrances. As great as No Mercy is, it's getting to be a bit overrated. And possibly there are people who may be imposters when it comes to their No Mercy praises. (NOT AT ALL saying that this is YOU). I remember when these games released, I owned all the N64 AKI Pro-Wrestling games except for WCW/nWo World Tour. My Top 2 ALL-TIME are Smackdown Here Comes The Pain and No Mercy. To be honest though, WCW/nWo Revenge is starting to creep up, and it's not gonna take SD-HCTP's spot...

@The16BitPrick They can fix it. They could have even enhanced it. Maybe there was something hindering them with this. Just like "Young Justice" being canceled because the targeted audience wasn't interested despite the reviews being extremely high by other audiences but the toy sales are what caused them to put the lower rated infinite "teen titans" on despite their ratings being lower.

Yup. No Mercy took this game and made things even better. Graphics, sound, rosters, story mode, all excellent. Still have my original cart. Only thing bad I can say about the game is there was a defect with some of the first run cartridges and they lost your save data from your story mode sporadically. They offered a replacement cart for free. I never sent mine in. Oh well, I played through it once before I started having issues. I usually played with friends anyway.
@the16bitprick36 Жыл бұрын
100% agree. Also don't worry I'll be covering that in the next one, so much to talk about when it comes to no mercy
@WOOOPdoctorFROGhere Жыл бұрын
so did you keep the defective cart? It's worth a lot of money apparently. I traded mine in a few weeks after release as back then there was no Internet so I had no idea it was a widespread save fault and that I could claim a replacement cart. Game hardly came clean about it when buying it back off me for half the price.
@stevesteve0521 Жыл бұрын
It also lacked full entrances which I couldn’t blame them with all the content that was in the cart. As stupid as it sounds I was also upset that the big show wasn’t in the game I was a big fan of him at the time and for him to not be there was pretty disappointing to me personally (Andre the giant was in the game so that kind of made up for it). Even having the whole wrestlemania 2000 storyline and having Stevie richards replace big show in the storyline was pretty weird to me as well. Regardless no mercy is just a better wrestlemania 2000 which that game itself is fantastic
@entertainmentforall6609 Жыл бұрын
@@WOOOPdoctorFROGhere Yup. I still have my original cart!!
@WOOOPdoctorFROGhere Жыл бұрын
@@stevesteve0521 yeah I was annoyed about big shows omission too and having Stevie Richards replace him in the angle was weird, surely a bigger name would have been more appropriate. Big show was still an employee too, so they surely could have left him in the game as he was already programmed in. I think he'd been sidelined by wwf at the time for being too fat, when they sent him to their development franchise, ohio wrestling or whatever it was called.
