Imo the worst decision the WWE made was having the Undertaker end his streak. His streak was a massive part of his legacy and a huge part of Wrestlemania, some would even argue that he was the face of Wrestlemania for at least a decade or more. He should have went into retirement with his streak intact. Ending his streak was a massive smear on his legacy, and is one of the first things that comes to peoples minds when they think of UT and how much of a sour taste it leaves in their mouths.
@XxDeathxX5092 ай бұрын
Let alone twice. I fully agree, it’s a ridiculous decision. Brock was already a well known mma fighter, and there were better ways to hype him up but they chose to tarnish the legacy of the dead man by doing this. At the very least they should of let kane end it. Kane had just as much potential as undertaker given that he was incredibly strong, even after his bicep was torn and needed surgery. Yet they butchered his character too
@jameskelso24359 ай бұрын

The streak should’ve gone to Roman Reigns. When Vince asked “If not Brock then who?” Roman’s win, at that time, would’ve been marked with such hate especially since people didn’t like the “Big Dog” yet that tiny little segment on the Raw after Wrestlemania of people booing and chanting “you suck” would’ve been a perfect catalyst to bring out the Tribal Chief a little early than planned after the virus. “This is my yard now!” That’s all that was needed to be said to the crowd as Roman soaked in all the negativity. Brock would’ve been fine if he lost to Taker as powerfully as he was being built up.

@@serekplayz6864 Very true, Edge said in a podcast if he had taken the streak or even if Randy had taken the streak where would’ve their careers had gone?” How would they have grown their careers past that event had it been Edge? At least if Bray had taken it then it could’ve lead to “The Fiend” if Roman had taken it then it would’ve lead to “The Tribal Chief!” Perfect way to draw out a heel after taking Undertakers streak and now that Roman has come back from his own Wrestlemania loss he now has a genuine pop all to his own, not even a Shield pop, it’s a face Tribal Chief pop.

I agree. Ric just can’t let it go. At the time, it meant so much to watch Flairs last match against my all time favorite HBK. Shawn Micheals was and is the guy to retire Ric, but dammit he just keeps on!! He got mad at the WWE because they wouldn’t allow him to come back as a performer, so he went to TNA, then made his own PLE (which was a bust) and they called it “Ric Flairs Last Match”… I understand that he loves wrestling, but he had arguably the absolute best retirement match ever with HBK, a 4 star match, but he still didn’t stop. On top of all that, the guy is an asshole. He fucked his own legacy. He shoulda left it alone.

I hate to see wrestlers fight until they so old waaayyy past their prime. Taker, Flair, Angle, all looked TERRIBLE when they got that old. Take them out the game earlier man. And let legends go out on top sometimes. This whole idea of pushing the younger generation " OVER" on thier last matches is getting too cliche. And its saddening to see and annoying. Everybody dont HAVE to lose at the end of their career. But its like u force them too because u let them continue so old, that they physically cant put on a decent show against a younger up and coming wrestler. Who normally just destroys them in an unpleasant way. Its disrepect to legends who help put this company on for so long. The reason these guys stay so long and so old is because sure, they love the business, but the way they be losing at the end of their careers leaves them with an unsatisfactory taste in their mouths. A lot wont ever admit it, but we know its the truth. Going out on straight L's suck. And they can feel the sadness, shame, and disappointment from the crowd. So they keep doing it again and again for years because they are chasing the perfect ending. The fairy tale that WWE hardly ever allows. Let them ride out with a good W sometimes damn. The business will survive and be ok if you got good talent there regardless and good scripts.
