Julie is adorable. We all love her. I was so lucky to win mother of the year on Regis Cathy Lee show in NY and was given a pass to see VICTOR VICTORIA and was taken back stage to meet her husband and she. She’s so tiny. She had her assistant go get me her poster size show bill and signed it for me standing there. I had it framed and it’s hanging on my wall. It goes to my daughter Rebecca as she was the reason I was there. She had breast cancer and a BMT. She wrote the show asking for them to make me mother of the year. She survived thank God almighty. It was a real treat to see her in her tattered robe after taking 45 min to COME DOWN after her fabulous performance rest take off makeup etc and walk out of her dressing room. I stood with my daughter the whole time and talked to BLAKE EDWARDS. Didn’t know who he was until I got back to Atlanta. I was in. Daze. BLAKE EDWARDS! He was talking to me about his wrist and how painful his Carpel tunnel was and finally with one eye on the dressing room almost peeing my pants any sec Julie would come out and he is so sweet but kept talking so I took his hand gently said I’m so sorry I’ve got friends that told me how painful it is. I am never rude or unkind to anyone but I’m thing omg. Who is this he just keeps talking. You can’t fix stupid!

I have nothing but respect for this Lady! As a child, I drove my family nuts with Julie Andrews this and that. Finally, I think my Dad had enough, for my 11 birthday, my Dad gave me and autographed pictured, that I still have! For Halloween, he drove me up to her house to meet her. She was so gracious and dignified. She gave me autograph and I actually got a treat and was so excited, I felt like I was floating! Next day LA times said she bought a new house and it stated it was around the Golf Course. Couldn’t find and unhappy I couldn’t find rode my bike. I was at the corner of Sunset and Roxbury. I was always to get off my bike and walk across the street. I went behind this car and rode to the other side and heard my name and turned around and there was Julie Andrews calling out me and waving as she crossed Sunset Blvd! I was so excited, I rode my bike home and told Dad so excited. She is everything they say she is and more! I have total respect for this letter. I was 11 at the time but even today I have the same picture Dad got me. Sadly, we lost Dad last August, but will always keep that picture. It means the world to me, he did that for me! I’ll never forget that night and next morning
