That is the best top-of-the-line advice Kate could give. Focus on yourself and your work and not the others around you. I work in a fine dining upscale tablecloth restaurant as a server assistant and I took my eyes off of my job my work and myself and started to look at others and I told my chef that I was ready to quit because it's not fair that others and he stopped me right there and said David focus on your job focus on your work correct your mistakes practice when you can to make yourself better and that's the best advice

Captain Lee is entitled to ask & make any kind of judgment he likes Kate because he's the CAPTAIN! You told Caroline feelings don't come into the work place so don't complain yours are hurt!

But Captain Lee and Kate have a personal relationship outside of yachting. She has been his confidant on every other issue for many charter seasons. The lines are definitely blurred. I wish captain would've stepped in sooner. I just find Kate to be more of a professional than I've ever witnessed any other woman. We are naturally strong emotional beings. Kate has put her job as priority on so many occasions, I feel as if she deserves this pass. It comes off as personal and they do have a personal relationship. But why ask me to help send off Candler but now have me to witness Caroline's send off? Captain could've called Kate into a meeting before Caroline left if he felt like there was really an issue. The issue could've been confronted. At this point, they are down two workers and Kate is running around trying to make sure everything gets down. Captain's timing seemed like he was gossiping or that he felt the need to bring it to her attention bc of the cameras & yacht owners, future charter guests and future employees wouldn't view him as negligent. I don't think Captain cared and that he truly trusted Kate. He pulled her away while she was busy working to insult her working tactics then dismissed her to go back to work. She has more work than ever. What do you want from her? Caroline is gone already. I'm sorry Caroline felt that way but Caroline is no longer here and we are still being distracted from our work to discuss her feelings. Kate was irritated by this point. She's a working machine but still human.

Kate relishes the idea that she's untouchable. They way she handle the situation was a cruel, unprofessional and degrading to Caroline (not that Caroline is a saint) but Kate loves to brag about her professionalism and standards, so she should have kept those in that situation. There's no reason why she should be hurt regarding captain Lee questions, she is an employee, like the rest of them, and her behavior should not go unchecked.

@@HH-gv8mx she’s a professional bully. She and Josiah were beyond repulsive in the way they handled Caroline. The unseen footage was hideous and Ross and the deckhands had to stop Kate in the end. Kate is a nasty piece of work.

U should have been professional w/Caroline to the end & not allow 2nd stew to harass her. U were upset w/Capt bc u love holding the thought that u have him in ur hip pocket. He didn’t want another future incident. U should have let Caroline go vs playing the martyr for Capt brownie points.

Everything about Caroline broke my heart. She is a victim to her own mindset. I hope she learned from this experience and starts to take ownership for her own life. You can either commit to who you want to be regardless of your circumstances or be fragile Caroline that has no control of her own existence from her childhood until her exit. Caroline is not a bad person. She's your typical millennial that sees themselves as a product of her conditions. I am a millennial and I have had to give up my own life to care for my mother, who didn't appreciate it or even recognize me. I won't enable Caroline for condoning her behavior but I do understanding and remain hopeful that she grow out of the mindset she's living. When my mother was letting go, my thought process was fogged. This time with my mother was the most important period of my life and I was suddenly without my safety net. Its overwhelming and everything felt like an attack. Even when we don't have the best relationships with our moms, they filter out alot for us. I hope the cast holds Caroline responsible for her part in all of this but I would love to be done respectfully. Let's encourage Caroline to get up instead berating her for being down. With that said, I'm glad she left. It was getting hard to watch. Her negative spirit is so heavy that I felt it through the camera lens, across the seas, detouring and filtered through production company, up to the space satellites and back down to my direct TV screen.. By the time it reached me those negative vibes were still heavy. That's a whole lotta exercising so I'd hate to have to interact with it first hand. Caroline has yet to see that her spirit is heavy. Probably bc she called meditation chef Fake News. 🙄

Kate doesn’t have time to play. She does the work and if your sensitive she just don’t have time for it. If you love laundry/making beds and cleaning toilets then it should be no problem. She seems fair but you’d have to able to get her humor.

Kate Chastain is a horrible person you have no room to give people advice on how to be chief Strews Ashesha has blossoms with kindness and and strict high service. She was trained on a much larger ship with butler service and a dozens of stews. Kate never had that she only ever had 2 Stews and thrived on the power she held over 2 people for 6 to 7 weeks. No one could ever meet her criteria unless they kissed her booty from day 1 till last day and have no other connections
