When I was in army cadets in Canada in the early 70’s we were issued the old WWII wool uniforms, they were the same as the British uniforms. Damn they were great in the winter and cold months but when the heat of the summer came they were just awful to be in. My grandfather was a WWI vet ( British) and a regimental sergeant major as kids we had the exact copy of those binocular’s to play with, so cool seeing them 45+ years later sure brought back a flood of memories.

I'm afraid there's a few things wrong in the video. Then uniforms show our not First World War types, but rather Battle Dress which was what was worn in ww2. The first mannequin seems to be wearing a 1941 austerity Patton set and the second has the post war 1949 pattern. The 38 caliber revolver was not used in WW1, they used a .455 caliber revolver. The gas mask was a Second World War civilian service mask and wasn't used by the military and the boxes were late ww2 pattern designed for war in the Far East. Although it's unlikely the design was actually used in ww2. I appreciate your effort to keep my country's military history alive, but figured I'd point out the eras. Also the Germans used MG08 on this ww1 aircraft not Lewis guns.

I have watched a number of these videos and loved each one. I hope I can fly out there to see his museum some time soon. One thing about the German tri-plane. It would have had twin Spandau machine guns. The Allied forces would have the Lewis gun. Is there any way you can get one of those to show everyone the difference? Keep up the great job.

At 1:04 These are not First World War uniforms they are from the 1940s. The webbing equipment is 38 pattern, issued at the start of WW2 until the 1950s early pouches had brass fittings the later were white metal anadized black which were used in Korea.

As a Brit I'm glad you honoured the British army in your museum. American is our closes ally but sometimes I feel as though some people forget what we did. I also feel that a lot of the commonwealth soldiers from Africa and Asia were dishonoured after the war. We all played a part to defeat Hitler in WWII and over come the Ottomans in WWI. It wasn't just one country conquering all, it was a team effort. I have the ut most respect form the American army, but I don't like it when some people say that they saves us twice, no offence to most fine Americans by the way. America is awesome and I can't wait to go there later this year. You get people in my country who slag off the Americans, but I don't agree with their disparaging comments. I hope the UK here in Europe and the US stay friends till the end of time. The American army is awesome, so is ours. I wish well on both of us and our allies such as Norway and France as well as many others!!!!
