@@IgneousKaiser In case you're interested, there was a truce between a small group of American and German soldiers on Christmas Eve of 1944. I think roughly 5 soldiers on each side. Some American soldiers stumbled across a civilian hut, in the Hürtgen forest, they needed the shelter for one of their wounded soldiers. A German civilian mother and her child were residing there and allowed them to take shelter there. Soon afterwards some German soldiers came by and a deal was made with the civilian that the German soldiers were also allowed to take shelter as long as they all left their weapons outside. They all celebrated Christmas Eve together and even became friends. One of the American soldiers and German soldiers kept in contact after the war.
