For a modeler this is probably the of the best videos I've seen for awhile.

The half track second to the WC-52 Dodge cargo truck or the White recon truck as my favorites of all time. Thanks for the detailed video!

By looking at the front fenders, headlights, front doors and dash this is either an M5 or M9 International halftrack. If the gun pulpit is original to this halftrack then it is either a M5A1 or M9A1. All the rear armor is wrong and made up to resemble an M3A1. It is not even close to being correct. Anyway, it is great to see that this rare breed survived. International halftracks are rare in the US. Most were used as lend-lease during WWII and are more common overseas.

cool thanks for the info. I do know this thing was a franken track as was far from being complete or original. But I didn't know about the international M5 / M9 info. Thanks!

I didn't know that track was steel overmolded with rubber! I heard they were just rubber. Thanks History Channel :(

US halftracks all used rubber tracks. They are constructed much like a tire is with steel bands molded in them. Each track weighs 550 pounds . Not fun to change. I've had plenty of experience with mine.
