Made me feel nostalgic. I fixed quite a lot of TVs as a teenager. Also one or two of this age. I remeber when the circuit diagrams were usually inside of the TV in a small pocket and you could just work away fixing it.

so the last thing broadcasted on analog tv on wwor was a NY Yankee's promotion and how fitting that you did this on a TUBE TV from the beginning from the days of television. Very cool. WWOR and the late night movie was a staple of my childhood on the weekends.

My parents had Admiral Televsions very much like this one in the 1950's. I think the new digital televsions system is a dramatic improvement. I have a small GE 5" color tv I use in the kitchen where I don't have cable and only watch the news, and did not want to replace it. With a new digital converter it has many more tv stations and all with perfect pictures. No more ghosts or buzzing.

Excuse me sir! But i have to disagree! With the "get over it statement" digital tv which i admit is superior in picture has a drawback. For one the signal is composed of a stream of 1's and 0's if your OTA antenna doesnt pickup evey one and zero? YOU DONT GET A PICTURE! analogue? You could be in a concrete bunker with no antenna and youd still get a picture! That is the reason why i HATE DIGITAL broadcasts!

That is true. This can get annoying. It's worse having to watch TV with dropouts than putting up with a noisy continuous picture. My dad, a daily Jeopardy watcher, always complains when the signal cuts out and he misses a question or answer! I tell him to direct his complaints to the FCC! On the other hand I think it's great that the back catalog of older and classic shows are being rebroadcast 24/7 on the sub-channels so that a new generation can discover them and older generations can reminisce.
