From the early 2000s, regions of Germany saw the first wave of deep geothermal developments, the market cooled after this first flurry of projects as economic factors slowed investment. Now a combination of political and socioeconomic factors (amongst others) are driving the next wave of deep geothermal projects across the country. This talk will provide an insider perspective of the deep geothermal market in Germany and some inspiration (or at least an idea or two) for the UK.
