The ultimate philanthropy is creating jobs that help everyone, like researching alternatives to plastic packaging and setting up rotational farming where pesticides are unnecessary. Finding a way to recycle again would be a huge project a guy like Bezos could do to create jobs and help the world.

He is wrong about being young was the reason the 80s and 90s were good. I was young in the 80s, and it was not good. Constantly worrying about the two super powers possible nuking the world. In the 90s Soviet fell and things felt really positive most of the decade. Then Putin and W came to power.
