The employees made the business untenable.
@bongkey22105 ай бұрын
Maybe, if the business owner actually wanted to keep skilled employees who didn't feel the urge to unionize, they would have paid the employees a livable wage. That said, you're right, the business has the right to pack up and sell off. What the business doesn't have the right to is anyone's labor other than their own. This is a two-way street. Business needs employees to survive. Employees need business to survive. Neither is obligated to the labor and/or money of the other.
@ShaggyRogers15 ай бұрын
@@bongkey2210 "keep skilled employees" Your first mistake is acting like the employees are "skilled". You can teach literally any semi independent person off the street to be a barista. "Paid their employees a living wage". Again, you fail to understand that not all jobs are MEANT to provide a "living wage". The job aimed at teenagers and college students trying to earn some pocket money isn't meant to provide a "living wage". If you didn't like the wages, don't take the job. Acting like forming a "union" and making a bunch of demands when the business hasn't even broken even yet is the height of stupid entitlement.

Some of few things small shops, stores, and eateries make money on items such fountain drinks, coffee, and tea. They don't make bank off these items, it is the other items they sell along side with it. For eateries it usually thing such as Fries and other sides that add up. Again it is all the other items they may sell that pay for cost of doing business such as payroll, electric, gas, property tax, and so on and so forth. Otherwise you have to have steady line people waiting to be serve Coffee, tea, or specialty drink for the shop to make enough money to turn a tidy profit. Next most Coffee Shops I have been too, the baristas get tips. So if you not hustling for the tips, it really your fault you not making the money you think you should.
