Wyatt + Shelby | Vintage Taylor Swift Inspired Wedding 8mm Style

We've been so blessed since opening Evermore Stories, and have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of couples in the "blink of an eye," that we've been in business. In fact, I'm so grateful for our success that I feel guilty admitting feeling nostalgic for the art I created in the early years... before there was pressure to produce or standards to exceed. I have to remind myself that it's okay to step away from the usual grind and challenge myself. In doing so, I may never become burnt out or grow tired of the craft that I love.
With that, I introduce my newest project, a vintage Taylor Swift inspired wedding film, which I captured and edited outside of business hours as a purely personal project. I signed on as a videographer to capture the styled brain child of Abigail Morgan. My goal with this film was to attempt to break the rules of video that I've spent years perfecting: filming "outside of myself." Much of my work is filmed with a steady hand, slow and perfect movements, capturing even candid footage in a romantic way. For this film I let go, literally, filming completely HAND held. Further leaning into the unrefined candidness of the day, I filmed "dirty" - - letting my camera slip away to the floor, and embracing imperfections like shake and blur. I opened myself up to feedback and inspiration from those around me including the couple, the musician Dave Mouton who provided the beautiful live version of "False God" you'll hear played on the saxophone, and Abigail, who recommended utilizing audio from an old love lecture she once listened to.
With pride, I share the result. As an old soul, the vintage esthetic of the day made this so much fun to capture and this film one of my personal favorites (even if the couple are merely besties and not married IRL). This project set my soul ablaze and has reignited my desire for new challenges. I love providing couples with incredible wedding films that are true to who they are!
