@@JaDanBar97 its called heal toe technique, you drop your heel instead of bouncing your foot, and then as the pedal starts to rise from your heel drop, you tap it back down with your toes in order to create what is essentially a double stroke roll with your feet :)

Using this technique on both feet is one of the ways drummers get to those ludicrous sounding speeds with their feet, there is also swivel technique, which is swaying your foot side to side in order for your calf and leg muscles to remain as loose as possible while maintaining these high tempos for long periods of time, and one more that you see a lot of single pedal players use a ton which is called slide technique, where you start from the top of the pedal, push down for the kick, and you slide your foot down to around the midway point of your pedal and then press down with your toes again to create the double stroke hope this is helpful :)

having such a hard time getting the double kick part at the end with the china. For some reason it feels easier for me to use just one foot. The double just throws my timing off hard. I suck! ;)

I just noticed in the beginning u play it with one foot. Curious any reason why on that part u do single and the end you do double? The only difference i notice is the cymbal hits are faster in the beginning riff as opposed to the end. Im self taught so excuse my ignorance.

I am pretty sure he has paid for a professional recording of his kit and either converted them to midi for his kit or they were recorded as midi deliberately so he could import them to his E-kit in the back corner, which I believe is where he learns his covers before moving to the real kit

which he then records all through his E-kit to get nice clean sounds, performs a few play throughs of the song on his real kit in order to get a couple of camera angles, then just syncs it all up with his workshop, and voila super clean and professional sounding drum cover! (btw, this is how a lot of professionals make social media content, as its cheaper and can be done from home)

There are drummers that can hit the snare drum 1 time and I can tell u who it is. If u don't have that your about as good as a drum machine. I'm twice ur age. U have a good solid skill set. ya man.. just keeping it simple. I use the eMad 2 Kick head by Evans.. you don't need a lot of dampening with that head.. ALSO, my kick is a 20x20 - 6ply Maple. So its super punchy and fast even before dampening. :) What are you using with your kick?
