It's wild. The ArchitectsBass only goes down to C0. None of this nonsense like G#0 or F#0 or E0. The guitars may be tuned to G#1 or F#1 or E1, but the bass has to be within the range of human hearing, folks.😂😂
@BaenaCarcosaАй бұрын
I think you’re mistaking your octaves here unless I’m misreading what you’re trying to say - but the bass in this video is all an octave below the guitar still in all instances (lowest being F#)
@SamBrockmannАй бұрын
@@BaenaCarcosa, I am not mistaking octaves. I am saying, the lowest audible bass octave is octave zero. It doesn’t need to be tuned such that we are playing F# open string zero. And, in fact, if you examine most Archtitects songs, they don't need to do that either. They can do that, they often do do that. But because of the sonic and tonal differences between guitar and bass, it is not a necessity. We as guitar players think, "The bass is always one octave lower". Is it though? Not in actuality. Now, to be clear, F#0 is still audible to the human ear. Barely. 90% of humanity cannot hear any bass notes lower than E0, and of those many hear it as muddy below A0. (That's why the lowest note on a standard tuned piano is A0.) So, F#0 is still an acceptable tuning for the low bass string, even if it's right in the cusp of "I can't distinguish it as a human, but I feel it".
@NathanielBTMАй бұрын
@@SamBrockmannyou have to realise that sometimes tuning low isn't about the audibility of a note but the rumble/bass feeling, that's why deaf people can enjoy music. and also just the tonal quality of tuning that low, the weird overtones ect. No way is wrong, some riffs sound better with E0bass and E1 Guitars. Some sound good with Both Bass and Guitar at E1. It all depends on the mix and what you're going after.
@SamBrockmannАй бұрын

Just a little spergy thing... There are some songs where Tom tuned the G# to A. So Gravedigger for example is actually played in F# F# B E A C#. The only other that I know of to be in this tuning is From The Wilderness (There may be others, but I don't learn many Architects songs). And Doomsday is the best riff. Even though you played it wrong.
