I have been a certified TPO LA COUNTY POOL operator for 30 years. Before you completely fill your pool with water add your sodium carbonate ( baking soda) it will keep your PH and total alkalinity form making drastic changes and help stabilize your pool water keeping your pool water "balanced" thus using less chemicals. Water balance includes temperature, PH, total alkalinity, total calcium hardness an total dissolved solids. It has nothing to do with sanitation which is what diclor or triclor (chlorine) is for. Acid is used to keep the ph down because when you add chlorine it raises ph because it is an alkalinity factor. Chlorine will do less sanitizing when your pool water is over 90 degrees. That's why spas and hot tubes use bromine which is much stronger and harsher sanitizer.

This unit is advertised. It was definitely vacuuming up the debris. It picks up the pebbles, and it actually crawls up the pool wall to the point where at least a third of it breaches the surface, then drops back in. However, I have seen it crawl up the 4 foot wall of the platform, at which time it cleans the platform (briefly), until it blindly rolls off the platform edge, descending into the deeper water.

Packaging: nice and solid; there is a pack of booklets including quick start guide, FAQ, and warranty. Full menu needs to be downloaded online but so far I don't find it necessary.

I was a bit hesitant given the price as I already had a polaris 3 wheeler that did a good job with leaves but floated around on the surface alot. The cc pro never floats around, it is always on the pool floor cleaning. I also had a perpetual problem of a general layer of dirt from leaf debris etc in my pool, you know it when you sweep and see it. Could never get it all out. Dolphin cc pro got out ALL of the dirt and ither nasties as well as leaves. It is super easy to use and the app works well also.
