Lovely of you to help out a smaller channel, very few do but it really makes a difference. From the crafting guilds website : ‘We’re going to do more to consciously bring attention to the many smaller KZbin channels out there.’ Keep up the cool stuff !

His fast-paced style is so....classic. It doesn't look pro, but it looks vibrant, and both fun to make and fun to use. Got the spirit.

Love your work. Quick story. Yesterday was talking to a person new to the hobby and they watch your channel but they did not know what foam board was. Here in DownUnder, it is often sold as foam core. So we went to the local stationary big box store and a few hours later the new-to-the-hobby man has made a base and cut out some walls of a chapel. Thanks for inspiring people. Cheers.

"Whatya think of Wylock's scatter terrain?" - "Mmm, tastes abit like pizza!" - fantastic build, the low level parts are great but my jury is still out, on plastic foliage - I've built terrain [not for gaming] using plastic greenery, but i'm never really satisfied BUT....as you offer cheap and cheerful [but very effective] options to gamers, this is a brilliant project to bring their tables more to life. All your inexpensive hacks are, to my delight, getting people making and it must add to their gaming experience exponentially. Keep up the good work - and big shout out to Mel/TheTerrainTutor, an inspiration to us all!

By the way, I came here via Black Magic Craft, and I found him via Luke Towan. I also subscribe to Luke's APS, DM Scotty and Bard's Craft (I found them in the order listed). I am loving these table top gaming tutorials even though I'm planning on using these things for Barbie doll dioramas! What I love most about the DM crafters is the fact that you use easy to find items so that those of us with less income can still make brilliant stuff.

how did you do the bases on those custodes? They look great
@WylochsArmory5 жыл бұрын
I 3D modeled the tile "toppers" and then printed them. Then sand in the broken-away chunks. Base coat white. Airbrush gray along the tile seams. Heavy wash the seams and the sand with Agrax. Then do the marble streaking exactly as described here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2HTeKijfNuWsMU

Great video! But can I ask a question? Who down-votes a video like this? Somebody who's had a harrowing experience with Oregano? Is it as simple as "a troll in a basement?" I just always SMH when I see that. Like...who does that?
@CrazyCrethon5 жыл бұрын
Did you experience any warping of the chipboard base and if so is there a remedy? I do not really like using MDF and it is hard to get EPVC (terrain tutor's choice basing material) where I live.
@WylochsArmory5 жыл бұрын
The foamboard+chipboard sandwich prevented any warping. That said if you do experience warping, paint a layer of white glue on the bottom and wait a full 24 hours. You can see this exact solution in action here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnLbl2lvjK9sZ7s

After I'm done using it, I always remove the spray portion and put in a sink with water, and run it through with clean water. Then re-screw it onto the bottle of glue-water without pulling the trigger.
