These locs are beautiful!!!! I want to try these but I’m scared they’ll be too heavy for my hair. I have a 3b/3c hair and it’s hip length (stretched) so the locs would have to be butt length or longer, and I just know they’re gonna have my neck hurting ☹️

You could maybe braid your hair and fold it up onto itself and then wrap the crochet hair around that. So you’d probably have chunkier locs but they’d be half the length of your hair... does that make sense?

Do you think I could use some Freetress hair instead? And if so, which type of curl? Like maybe the Deep Twist? Edit: So I just bought 8 packs of Freetress hair, in Water Wave. I'll update as to how it turns out. To the lab! Final Edit: So 11 packs of hair later. I have completed the style. It looks pretty much like hers, I like it. But if you're one of those types of people who prefers their locs to look more smooth and neat during your wear, this is not going to be the style for you. I actually prefer mine to look more 'messy', I think it just helps with the locs looking more natural, but after just four days, the curls start to look frizzy and matted along the loc. The first day it's going to look like hers, but by the third day, you're gonna look more like Lisa Bonet. Just keep that in mind. Also, I don't know if it was the brand of Water Wave I bought, but, I had to FIGHT to braid this hair in to my hair, it tangled SO bad. It was literally the longest part of the process, otherwise, the style was pretty easy to do.

This legit looks like water wave but with extra strands used like 4-5 instead of 2-3. Deep twist does NOT separate well and the texture is way too loose to give this look.

Try testing a few brands on cold wave rollers to see which gives you the best results, I'm sure you can replicate the texture. I found a tutorial and used it for passion twists and you can't tell a difference at all, except where it count$

@@alexisshields6186 What I did, which was easier for me was, I braided my hair first, like a regular braid. Then I took the hair, held it like she did, against my braided natural hair. So you have false hair on the left, false hair on the right, and your braided hair in the center. I used my braid as the third leg of the braiding, and just braided down. Its okay if it doesn't look perfect, you just need a base for the wrapping to hold on to. The wrapping will cover up the lumps and bumps. Hope I was able to explain that well enough.
