I trained as a community musician, I always looked at Wynton Marseilles as an inspiration. This man is one of the greatest in Jazz including improvisation. I like his style of going down and make other upcoming musicians feel good. We know there's a lot of virtuosos before him but the man shares all the knowledge of Jazz with everybody. Cheers!!!

Frequency is critical

It’s always advice to the young musicians, but what if you are 64 years old? And frankly, playing with other musicians in your age group is frustrating. What advice would Wynton give me? Like he mentions about repetition, a necessary, but very difficult thing to do in your daily practice at my age. Drums are very physical and repeating a phrase for even three minutes at 100 BPM is pretty exhausting. Anyone please chime in!

Building endurance takes time. These masters have been going at in with a very hard pace since they were young. So listen to your body, and try to practice with intent and good focus, resting and dont force stuff where things are not flowing
