Tom what exquisite sounds from your pipes. what our your pipes on your road liner? I would love to make my road Star sound that good.

Our Roadliner has Cobra's X-Tra Longs which I have cut down and turned into a set of pipes that are closer to their speedster slashdowns. For baffles I am using the flow through baffles. The baffles are probably the most important component for the sound. They are completely flow through, giving as close to a straight pipe as you can get and still have baffles. Unlike a straight pipe, they remove the sharpness of the higher frequency sounds, leaving that nice deep sound. They also produce back pressure required to keep the engine running strong, unlike a straight pipe that actually decreases an engine's power. Also keeping your pipes as long as possible will help keep the unwanted noise down, making you friendly at low speeds, parking lots, etc. By the way, who's Tom?

Pretty impressive, but that's a Yamaha for ya. Yamaha is probably the most reliable of them all.
