Now add a severe cross wind and snow. When that happens stop at the first no tell, hotel or motel you come to because the second one will be full. Sit tight and wait it out. Was coming home Thanksgiving a few years ago it happened between Cheyenne and Laramie. Got a room, got the kids settled and went to the office for more pillows. The front desk clerk was informing folks in the lobby they were full.

Stressful. I drove in that mess before and I was exhausted in five hours from the stress and having to be so alert at all times.

Been exactly there, did exactly that 😮 Even the timeframe is right. Drove for nine years, then I remembered that Bible verse, "You shall not put the Lord your God to the test." Deuteronomy 6:16 I thank God for His patience with me.
