This is the type of video that is of the most value. This is the video to learn from. You discussed the problems and fixes related to the bark inclusions. You provided a tip on using the leather to back up thin sections. You talked about using fillers. This is all good stuff. It's a good teaching video. Thank you for sharing. Interesting piece of wood; hope to see what you make from the other pieces in a future video. I've got some cottonwood that has been drying for a couple years and am going to be able to turn it in the near future. I've seen some pieces by a gentleman in Parker, Colorado that looked very interesting (they were spindle turnings) so I'm curious to try it out.

Nice character in that bowl! I don't turn much cottonwood. It's a lot like the box elder I get from my trees. Just wondering if you've applied for a patent on that very fancy pocket closure! Take care, Dave

Yes, that bowl turned out pretty funky. Lots of Barker conclusions. I’ve got four more I need to. Yikes. 😳
