I considered buying this inverter to run a well pump but read that it's limited to a maximum 12.5A current output on the 240 connection. My well pump pulls 24.9 amps at start up. Have you tried any large loads?

@@ShanePinney I opted for the 6K 240v inverter from Sungold Power (Amazon). It's a beast. Highest load tested was my well pump plus two 5k btu window units and three 36" shop fans, at the same time. My setup is (16) 7a 240w Bosch panels 4s4p (1) 45a Victron charge controller (4) 12v 100 ah LifeP04 batteries series to single bank @ 48v The inverter is hybrid in that it can also receive power from your utility and will switch to that source when there is no longer enough solar power being generated for your loads. It's in use to run the well pump, the pool pump, and two refrigerators. The result is that I am running appliances from solar during the day and utility at night. If you are talking about the bottom right plug, that is an European or asian type plug. Technically you can use that but it will be only 3-prong. For split phase you need four, two for hot, one for neutral and one for ground.

@@peakboost you can't do split phase 4 connections. It says so in the manual. It only supports split phase 3 wires (hot 1, hot 2, and ground). for welding machines or other high-load applications that don't use the neutral at 240v. I use mine for my welder, which doesn't need the neutral wired (Nema 6-50p/r). It says: Danger, do not use neutral in split phase, neutral isn't supported.

@@serdiefgotreb It really doesn't matter for neutral and ground, you can use both or either. If you look in a circuit breaker panel, most neutral and ground are bonded, mine is. Neutral and ground are on the same bar. So yes, you are correct, you can use 3 plug. But if it’s wired up to a circuit panel, you will need to use 4 wires. And if your machine only use 3, then just wire 3 and leave neutral out. My dryer is 4 plug, NEMA 14-30R, it need 4 wires. The manual is partially incorrect, I open this inverter up, it will work with 4 wires. In fact, my testing found that the 15 amp plug has the hot and neutral reverse. You might want to check yours. I reached out to the seller and they actually told me not to post that part, so it is edit out. They will fix it on their production.

Got the 5k version and the euro plug was NOT there. Instead there were the screw clamp connect for you to hook up whatever 240 plug you want. Which I was great full for
