I hate the new format, went all serious, don't watch it anymore. It was a product of it's time. TV is more sophisticated today than it was then so they've moved with it. I really do love Sharon. She was such a sweetheart. She really did care for the contestants, even when they were bad. I was so proud when she confronted Simon & Louis about how they treated that poor 16-year-old girl, & when she walked her out. Everyone deserves the kind of honest criticism & support that Sharon gave❤ Note: Upon further review, it seems Sharon wasn't always as compassionate as she could've been. Honestly, though, she's still one of my favourite judges. She definetely had the most empathy between herself, Simon, & Louis. I'm not surprised she wasn't always an angel, because no one is perfect. However, to my knowledge, on the whole, Sharon did her best to exercise kindness & understanding when relatively nice people were just very untalented.

That Sarah one was pretty nuts. If a singing career really is “everything” to you, you shouldn’t break down so completely after one failed audition. If it’s everything, give it your all. Practice hard and keep auditioning elsewhere. If it still doesn’t work out, you can be proud of yourself for trying and get a regular job like 99.9% of people. This is what her crazy mother should be explaining to her, rather than enabling her. Also, if she’s that fragile, stardom would surely break her if she ever made it.

Had all these lunatics coming through who thought they were on par with Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow. Some of them wanted a refund because they were out of tune and it was my fault. They started allowing people to audition their own songs in later series and bring in instruments. They don't want pop stars anymore, they're looking for potential greatness. I think she's troubled and her FAMILY are doing the wrong thing by encouraging her and telling her what she wants to hear. At 19 and thinking her life over because she was rejected was worrying. She is going to need help, I'm sure, with her outlook on life and her self loathing, which is apparent! She needs proper guidance on how life is. It generally isn't sugar and spice.
