That's a great way to do a firewood processor. The X split knife certainly takes the box wedge splitters to the next level (Like the Japa perfect split 405 and 435).

I have so much, and turn away so much more over sized logs, this would completely be a game changer for me in my wood yard.

You would need a piece of equipment capable of loading a very large diameter log onto the log deck make make his machine work to its full potential.

Die Maschine sieht richtig interessant aus, bin sehr gespannt auf die Daten !!!

Curious to see how it would handle smaller diameter logs. Looks honestly quite awesome

Yep very impressive to say the least.... can you cut 16" wood with that? Can you do kindling aswell?
@chlyon4 ай бұрын
Sure it will be able to handle 16 inch wood and it can cut wood down to a size of 6 cm (2.3622 inch) but I bet it makes a mess at that size

Whats the estimated cost in Canada 🇨🇦??
@COIcultist4 ай бұрын
Just watching after seeing this featured by Ohio Wood Burner. What is the maximum length of the cut pieces? Somebody questions the power required. It was said by the rep when speaking to OWB 20kW per unit so 2 X 20kW. So if you are looking at running it without a three-phase electric supply. 40kW X 1 1/3 = 54hp as electric. I've no idea at the losses from turning motive power into electricity, but guess you're looking at 80bhp+ engine.

I wonder what ohio wood burner would react to it. He'd be the first guy to test it in America.
@bwillan4 ай бұрын
He;s quite happy with his 405 and its ability to use both the perfect split system or the regular 4 way 6 way or 8 way wedges.

@@bwillan with him being the japa ambassador of America, they would probably send one to him to demo and showcase.

When he did his tour of the Japa factory he said there was equipment he couldn’t show guess this was it.

Don't you think he'll go for the 505 processor instead? Bob at Metsamachines hook him up with a Kubota-powered 505 in no time 🫡😉. I am not sure, but I am afraid you can need some serious power to run the "X-factory" and Joe likes diesel. But I guess a big generator could do it 🤔. Maybe he would have to upgrade his tractor to move them logs 🫣🤭😂.

Price in Europe let me guess log deck 20,000 cutter 25000 splitter 25000 outfeed 15000 , so 85K then add 20 % because I'm an optimist 100,000 ponds say ?? Japa 435 is 50K ponds so .. mayhbe its more than 100 😩

I got talking to a guy here in NZ about another companies x splitter that city firewood in Christchurch uses and he said they had a lot of problems with there unit and could only do small rounds with it so I hope Japa has made this good and strong and powerful
