So is yours a newer one that has room for a 10mm socket and a alenkey at the top of the cartridge? Mine just has room for a 10mm socket and just spins when I try to undo. Can’t work out how to undo it? Any help is much appreciated

Hi @killabootsproduction thanks for your message and support of our channel. The cartridge you are referring to should have a recessed 3mm Allen key head which will allow you to hold the cartridge while undoing the top nut.

Hi Mikko, thanks for your message, I would recommend servicing the dropper post at least every 6 months or when it gets sticky (which ever comes first) the cartridge should only be replaced if its faulty and not returning or actuating correctly

I can't for the life of me get the seal to unscrew. I have a vice, a strap wrench, old tube. Its proper stuck. Any tips?

Found how. I just had to accept that I'd be scratching it. I used channel lock plier and a piece of tube. And a vise.

Hello anyone an everyone hope you are all well. I have a fusion that does not want to stay up for a minute or 2, or stay down. I thought the cable was binding an holding the valve open but that is not the case. When i drop it goes down but does not stay down but if i sit it goes back down stand up back up but won't stay up if i sit back down. If i give it a minute or 2 it stays up an wont go down until i hit the leaver. It moves freeley no binding. Any ideas on what my issue could be? Suggestions appreciated thankyou. Mark.

Hi @markmcgauchie2449, thanks for your message and support of our channel. My suggestion is to take the post out and check the damper to asses if the problem is there. By the sound of your message there could also be some tension in the cable when seated on the bike so having the post out of the bike to check it would be the first thing i would recommend. If the damper continues to come up after 2 minutes in the down position when the post is out of the frame would indicate that the damper could be at fault.

Can I shim a 150 down to 130

Hi Mike, for the straight answer, no the X Fusion post cannot be shimmed down, this will void your warranty. You can try to replace the 150mm cartridge with 125mm dropper cartridge and 2 x 10mm spacers that come with the new cartridge to reduce the length but it wont be 130mm.

Hi Mike, greetings from Andorra Epic.. as a XF distributor we supply the dropper cartridge with a single 2cm spacer but you will need 2 for how you want to do this. I recommend buying a 125mm dropper from XF as the lower is shorter as well so overall the post is shorter and lighter

NONE of the videos I could find how to remove the post from the cable! I looked up the owner/installation manual and it appears you need to unscrew the cable from the post using a 2 and a 3 mm key. Check it out for yourself. cheers

My new levo is supposed to have a 190 mm manic dropper, but when I measure the drop, it is 7 inches, which is 178mm, wth? The s5 has a 170mm , so I don't think they put the wrong one in. I don't know why they say it is 190 when it's 178mm.

Hi Nathan, thanks for your message. So X Fusion only make a 190, 170, 150, 125 and 100mm dropper post, not sure why yours in 178mm but take it back to the dealer to let them check it out. Possibly its not fully extending.

This video is very misleading. The threads dont unscrew that easily and have caused me to ruin my hanger

Hi Samuel, thanks for your message and support of our channel. The hanger is not glued into the dropper so with careful pressure it will come out no problem. Sorry to hear you damaged the hanger, fortunately these are cheap to buy and readily available from most XF suppliers.
