1310 grams in size medium according to one review I saw. Helmets in this weight range really do feel great.

I've crash tested one during a high side in Almeria. No head injuries. The helmet was sadly ruined...It was well worth the £300 I paid for it, I went for the ultra carbon version. It's a race spec helmet so don't expect it to be great and silent if you go touring with it. I would highly recommend it if your on a sports bike / naked bike Sunday blast track day kind of rider.

For touring its fine too, just get earplugs!

I bought the same helmet - different graphic. Do they all come with the dark visor? I noticed your box has both.

I just brought in some X-Lite 1004s to the shop and they are remarkable. Light and high build quality, but I’ve yet to bring this one in, but you’ve changed my mind. I don’t think we get this nice SBK graphic over this side of the pond which is unfortunate.

Me gots the Melandri blue with blue shield. Spectacular piece. Also have the go-fun Bastianini 802-r. Nolan is the best helmet bar none on the planet. Stoner rides his now when testing for Ducati. They are so very light!!!!

What about the sizing im confused. I am 55-56 small. On xlite the size is xs 55 and small 56-57 is it tighter than other helmets?
@tolgaetci95396 жыл бұрын
I think, it is not about size, it is about your head shape. I tried Shoei NXR many times, it M or L definitely does not fit(too much oval). i can use HJC RPHA 11 L, but it is like 90 percent fit(somehow you can manage it with help stripe which holds chin :) ), it is less oval then Shoei....but Xlite 802 or 803 L fits like a glove...(I think it is better for round heads instead of oval)

@@tolgaetci9539 i only had/have agv all my life from pista and corsa small is like they made it for my head😂 tried once hjc rpha11 small the bloody thing gave me headaches all day long sold it 1 week later. But xlite vs hjc is not even a brain how much superior quality looks the xlite vs a taiwan china wannabe arai hjc lol. Maybe my head is italian but why they just couldnt do em with a normal size chart like agv ffs . Reason i kinda want an xlite is the finish , they do make a stoner replica ,the lightweight materials and the fact it costs 500 pounds less than the pista gpr😂
@tolgaetci95396 жыл бұрын
I am also xlite & Agv fan but believe in me, the haptics, touch and materials and quality in my opinion better at hjc then xlite, and on daily use, probably wear would be less then xlite (it is korean company , like samsung, hyundai etc. :) that produces helmets more then 40 years, and the worlds best selling helmet ). It is cheaper but it is a really really good helmet, why i choose xlite is it fits to my head exactly and i have this carbon motogp version, the finish on the extern shell of xlite is so professional and good...what i dont get, why shoei is so expensive :) and never fits to me head :D
@Übereine6 жыл бұрын
@@tolgaetci9539 shoei is expensive cause it has an active world champion to wear its helmets so they have to raise the prices just like agv. I believe the best helmets are the arai but for people who have neck injuries from dirt bikes like me really they come heavy at 1.5kgs. Thats y i choose agv pista cause i can ride over 4hrs without feeling anything. Hjc i never really tested it just few times i heard they made a new rpha11 carbon the jackson something so might be good. One underated company that ive tried a helmet and it was fantastic despite the stupid visor mechanism was scorpion

helmet does not need replaced, interior pads yes, shell no.
@fastbikes6 жыл бұрын
Not the shell, the EPS lining inside is what deteriorates (not the removable lining your head/cheek touches either), it's the EPS lining that does most of the impact absorbing, so it's pretty important to the whole head safety thing!

ive worked for the importer of schuberth helmets in an EU country and we expected a longevity of 5-10 years depending on sweat level and usage :) i personally still use an almost 10 year old Schuberth SR1 as the stiropor inside is not hardened out yet, just got some fresh inner linings. I just ordered a 803 RS in fastlap red and keen to try it out

Great video with a lot informations. X-lite made great helmets, i have my X-802 Lorenzo moon replica for 10 years now and i love it, has good price and its much better then HJC RPHA-10. This X-803 is way more better only thing i they should change its visor locker, something like RPHA-10/11. That only thing i dont like about X-802/803

@fastbikes6 жыл бұрын
The advice is two years if used almost every day in all weathers, 3-4 years average use, up to 5 years limited use.
@TES999116 жыл бұрын
Fast Bikes Magazine can you plese post any proof of this? Do you know better than the manufacturers?
@TES999116 жыл бұрын
2 or 3.5-4 years to replace the helmet? Did you make these dates up? Marketing wankers, you just want people to waste money and buy it and nothing else. There is literally nobody anywhere apart from you that says you need to replace your helmet every 2 years. Reported for misleading information.
@fastbikes6 жыл бұрын
Every two years if used (almost) every day in all weathers and conditions, otherwise limited use is up to four years (is the advised amount quoted by most manufacturers) but can be stretched to five. We did say this in the video, it's simply because certain materials degrade when repeatedly exposed to several substances, environmental or otherwise - like pretty much anything else. It's not misleading at all, if someone changes their helmet at whatever intervals, or wears one that's three decades old is up to them, we're not telling anyone to do anything. This is safety information passed along by those who actually make the helmets, we'd actually be far more remiss to not pass this safety related information on, in actual fact.
