Very interesting many years ago I was in charge of a twin screw co-rotating inter-meshing 43mm extruder we used for continuous rubber mixing and reactive processing for rsearch in the tire industry; employing loss in weight feeders for dry products and specialty pumps with a 4 piston flow meter control. We used several different types of individual flights for various stages of mixing.

Years i worked at a plant extruding plastic for Hefty plates. We had 3 8" twin screw extruders. Every 10 years or so maint would pull the screw. Line would be down for a long time. Its amazing those machines run non stop for years. 99% of the product ends up in a landfill. Tons and tons.

its progress and it isn't.....it turns the feeding of human beings into the same principle as the feeding of prepared formulaic silage to dairy cattle ......the machine itself must be close to a million dollars i watch videos like this and then promise myself never to eat another snickers or mars bar in my lifetime.....i've saved tons of money from watching youtube videos like this because the videos have completely turned me off from store-bought bread and prepared foods....in my old age now i do more home cooking than i've ever done before and make all my own bread and pastry and every kind of entree
