As others have pointed out, the whole 'we can't win but we can push off losing as long as possible' thought process is Magik applying her view of her struggle against her evil side to her entire life. Her story is her saying every day, 'I know I'm eventually going to lose to the Darkchild, but not today.'

Has Sugar Man and Mr Sinister ever had a direct face off? Before House of M, it was hinted that a very young Magneto was almost in the clutches of Sinister working at a concentration camp. And Sinister’s Marauders attacked the Morlocks in part due to someone working on the Morlocks which was Sugar Man. Love these near contact moments… but there seems to be potential for sugar and Sinister to square off at some point. As an aside, love it when Selene used Madelyne Prior to put Fitzroy to heel. ❤

Hey Blerd, so for magneto apparently they reveal somewhat of what happened in the infinity comics on marvel unlimited. They don’t reveal the full details but only some, I’d recommend it to get some info but idk you, like others have, won’t like what they did

Magneto's latest resurrection wasn't from the resurrection protocols. Storm traveled into Mystery to find him and as part of his resurrection he completely rebuilt/constructed his body. I doubt what's happening to him is something that'll begin happening to the others. I think it's the price. Magic always has a price. And interestingly Wanda's price previously was that her soul would age the more she used magic (Scarlet Witch vol. 2 2016). It may be a parallel given the new cosmic hierarchy and her accepting him as her adoptive father.

I know you're not a fan, but a recent X-Men From The Ashes Infinity Comic arc (#13-14) shows Magneto is basically powerless and disabled. This is why he's always seen in the chair and it's possible that the chair is tech-powered not being manipulated by his mutant gift. Issues #7-9 are pretty important as they update Havok's and Polaris's current status after Dark X-Men.

@@goldobisen6234 MacKay's book hasn't really focused on Magneto, so it's possible he has his powers back since the events of the Infinity Comic or he's using some tech in the crossover. But for non-fans, they might want to try reading the Infinity Comics as they might be less filler than in the past.

Ive always thought sugar man was toad from the AOA maybe just modified by sinister or apocalypse to be more powerful. As much as i like toad (alot) i assume toad often relagated to a dumb peon would bargain with apocalpse for power over others and thats exactly what sugarman has but despite maybe wanting to look cool he just turns out to be a bigger monstrosity.

Was it ever explained HOW Fitzroy came back from getting cut in half in his portal by Bishop? Rosenberg seemed to bring everyone back to life , just to kill them off. I HATED that he killed The Nasty Boys/. They were some of Peter David’s cooler creations..

Trevor Fitzroy's powers if i remember right he need to drain energy from people to make his powers work . in the one Uncanny X MEN i think its 283 where he used his powers on the Hellions and there where more then 10 of them to bring 300 villain mutants from the future to the present . and 3 of them find out the hard way that the portals are one way they try and go back through and turn to a pile of flesh . when i heard the UPSTARTS where coming back damn then saw the team and was like its Fitzroy then who are these other fucking guys . i liked the idea of the original UPSTARTS where they had a game where they kill Mutants and other figures in the Marvel Universe for points . i was hoping that game was coming back but sadly it don't look like it . the other members i need to know more about their powers and maybe the game started over but right now not sure about .

He's empowered by the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak now and a small shard of the original Crimson Gem. This setup is disconnected from Cyttorak himself, so he's no longer being driven to destroy by the entity. Still tough but he cannot draw as much power.
