I wasn't familiar with the game of those involved with this series. I was expecting a nostalgia driven show that would rely on that to keep our attention. Instead, it had nostalgia but so much more. We got great writing, characters, ost, voice acting, animation quality, and consistency throughout, deep and poignant themes as are present in any X-men story worth its salt, and so on. What a wonderful return for the X-men and the best Disney Marvel content since Endgame.

@@TheJmsJose97 I've lost count the amount of times I've rewatched the scene, from episode one, where Cyclops is falling from the sky, after the Black Bird is attacked by Sentinels, and he uses his optic blast to perform a superhero landing. I've always been more of a Magneto and Wolverine fan, but I still love how right X-Men '97 did Cyclops. Season 2 can't come quickly enough. I haven't watched X-Men: Evolution in years, definitely need to revisit that series.

The blue area of the moon is an ancient area where oxygen is available for some reason. It's where the X-Men fought the Imperial Guard when trying to save Jean Grey as the Phoenix. One thing that bums me out though, they always forget that Zaladane is also Magneto's child. I wish she was shown on the memory boat as well. I am SO excited that we're going to delve into Rachel Summer's Mother Askani storyline next season. (My favorite X-Man) I have a feeling next season also that Rogue is going to snap Gambit out of his Apocalypse control by saying, "You're Gambit, remember it." I'm curious to see where Storm, Wolverine and Morph disappeared to. P.S. Rob rocks, and evidently, clenched.

Something I don’t see people talking about is how they took multiple stories from many eras of X-Men and made it work. After watching so many different reactions and gaining a greater understanding of the stories that were used, it’s insane that we got what we got. Season 2 can’t come soon enough, but I will wait and let them cook.

The comic story when Jean and Scott are projected into the future is Askani’son. They go to the future and don’t reveal who they are so as to not change anything in the timeline and they help raise Nathan. The woman, Askani is really Rachel Summers, Jean and Scott’s daughter from a different timeline, she got there from some timey whimy futures past time travel. She gets split somehow in the time stream, one version of her ends up in the future and the other goes to the X-men present. She was a hound, enslaved by humans to hunt mutants in the future past timeline, those markings on her face are the markings of a hound, they are branded to demean them. Rachel holds a portion of the Phoenix force within her because it encounters the younger version of her in the time stream and thinks she is Jean because she feels like Jean to it. If you can get copies of that story it’s good. This cartoon has made a crap version in live action 100% unacceptable, it’s just so well written, whoever wrote this should be working on the scripts for the new movies. We are open to so many things now, X-men vs Avengers, Excalibur, Apocalypse returning, Remy returning as Apocalypse Death horsemen, berserker rage Wolverine because his adamantium being removed turns him feral, so much good stuff coming.

This was a really good season finale. It was firing on all cylinders, and it has so much setup for Season 2. With the X-Men now scattered across time, we’re gonna get an adaptation of the Age of Apocalypse storyline. And with present day Apocalypse in the remains of Genosha, he could eventually go to Gambit’s grave and resurrect and convert him into Death, one of his new Horsemen. Also in present time, Bishop and Forge are gonna be making a new X-Men team, with anti-mutant/anti-human tension is rising. What I also really like about this finale is that it also acts as showcase for the entire 90s Marvel Animated Universe. We got so many cool cameos: Spider-Man (and Mary Jane too, surprisingly), Daredevil, Black Panther, Captain America and Iron Man. They were all involved in this massive worldwide incident too.

This episode showed the strengths of Charles' ideals. I know it gets heavily criticized by fans, with the X-Men's eternal status quo and Magneto's view on things can be easier to understand because his view is a bit more realistic to human nature (although, it is a bit cynical as well), but I loved how this episode deified my expectations. I fully prepared for Charles to give up on Magneto and leave him brain dead after being disillusioned. This show pretty much said screwed that and had Charles risk his own life to then repair the damage he caused and did his best to help revive him. Empathy is hard. Charles' path has fair bit of flaws, but at the same time it is worth it. I think anyone else would have given up on Magneto by now and left him dead. Charles didn't do that and still keeps trying no matter how much they hurt each other, and because of that dedication is what made Magneto help save the Earth when he was going to let it die. As much as Magneto is right about how terrible people can be in general and how petty they can be I don't ever think the answer is to massacre the other side completely to save themselves. It can hurt everyone. Magneto was about to let the Earth die, which would have killed mutants alongside humanity and said the stupidest shit I have heard as a reply when Charles brought that up, that made me question if Magento understood what the magnetic field does for the planet. Cyclops who was wavering all season about Xavier's dream chose to try to empathize with him and talk him down. That was more effective in the long run than trying to kill him. Sure, people will say it is cheesy and unrealistic, and I can agree to an extent, but that is a path still worth taking. Just because it is hard or that people may not see the fruit bear in their lifetime doesn't mean it is pointless. This episode did a splendid job in showing why Charles Xavier's dream is worth fighting for and is ultimately going to be the best route for all humanity (which includes mutants as this episode said, with Jean pointing out humans aren't being killed off, but rather humans are slowly evolving into mutants).

Kang the Conqueror exist as 4 distinctive people in his life. 1: Iron Lad as a teen who went back in time and joined the Young Avengers with Elijah Bradley, Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang, and Billy and Tommy. 2: Rama-Tut when he was a young adult man who used time travel and future tech to Conqueror Ancient Egypt. His enemies were the Fantastic Four and En Sabah Nur AKA Apocalypse. 3: Kang the Conqueror during the prime of his life. Who primarily was a nemesis of the Avengers. 4: Lastly Immortus who resides in the Nexus outside of time. Strangely enough Kang and Immortus hates each other. Immortus sees Kang as the mistakes of his past and Kang sees Immortus as his future failings.

“Humanity would rather die than have kids like us”… Ain’t that the truth, eh? Bastion believes that the only way to save humanity *and* mutants is to force the former to evolve different and the latter to be contained. Because our narrow definition of being “human” is not an immutable truth, or something we can control. Change is nature, and we fear the idea that what we are today is not everlasting… They really took a mixed result villain in Bastion and made him more nuanced here. Was Cable listed as MIA, or am I misremembering? Because it really makes me wonder if he in that form still exists… was he pulled away from the main timeline because his parents went into the future where they will change his life? Of course, timelines are funny so Cable still is a thing, but… Damn, the idea of having (pre)teen Nathan Summers with his dad and his mom(‘s genetic donor/stepmom) is exciting. We might get some form on Onslaught, although the fact that Charles actually helped Erik heal by commiserating with him and helping him confront how his pain was overcoming his genuine desire for peace for mutantkind… Remember the scene from “First Class”, where James McAvoy’s version of Charles helped Michael Fassbender’s version of Erik to recall a happy memory of his mother, and he says he didn’t know he still had that? Yeah… Feels like Magneto’s antagonist tenure has been properly closed in this continuity; could be wrong, but it does seem like it; if we get Onslaught the nature of him would be different I reckon. I’d love to get say, the New Mutants in the present day; we have Roberto, and while Ilyana’s exact state is unclear (she was a child back in XMTAS in the Onega Red episode, and Morph took her teen/young adult form in “Fire Made Flesh”) she’s here too… All we need is Sam Guthrie, Danielle Moonstar, Warlock and Karma for a solid “classic” line-up. Still annoyed by what they did with Madelyne, as it felt like a gross banboozling to have her walk away looking for her identity… then two episodes later, she’s on Genosha and gets offed by the Tri-Sentinel attack. Urrr… I get what they’re going for, still annoyed; just as I’m also annoyed that we don’t know how Magneto survived while Leech and the other Morlocks he was trying to protect were actually atomised (I can accept Bastion did it on purpose but *how did he do it* DeMayo? How?!) Overall, I’m glad this exists and happy it’s weeded out a lot of the scummy so-called “fans” who clearly never got what this team was all about… They’re still going to moan and act like the property was done dirty, but I will happily ignore them and drink of their angry tears. Stay classy, madmen.

I predict 4 horsemen of Apocalypse to be: Gambit, Banshee, Sebastian Shaw and Madeline Pryor. All of them are dead in Genosha and all of them are kinda big characters, especially Madeline. Banshee was a horseman in the comics, it would make sense. Sebastian..I don't know why, but I want to see him as a horseman. It would be sick to see the return of Madeline in the show as a Pestilence. If she was brought here just to die in Genosha - I'd be disappointed.

This was a great episode. The way Bashan ripped off. Cables arm and beat him with it. Felt like it was payback. For what Beast did to the Sentinel. By ripping out its arm and beating him with it. Seeing Jubilee go op on Bashan. By knocking off half his face was badass. Seeing Psyloke Puck Aurora Northstar. Aka Alpha Flight make an appearance was cool. The Phoenix make an appearance was cool as well. With all the X-Men being displaced. Are we going to get a possible. Scattered throughout time story arch? I really believe some type of A vs X story arch is coming. They made multiple appearances. What did Beast see at the very end?

Bishop is the BIGGEST L TAKER of the series. This dude legitimately got his ass kicked in the first 2 episodes,disappeared at the end of episode 3 with the ONE JOB of protecting Nathan and he immediately failed that. Only for him to show 6 months after the Cataclysmic event that just occurred in the finale. What the hell dude. I ended up being completely right. But man Cyclops legitimately was amazing in this episode. His acrobatics mixed with his Beam vision was so dope. Especially with that Epic Beam Attack on Bastion reminiscent of the "BEHOLD. OPTIC BLAST!!" From the Marvel vs Capcom series. And man Rogue's Blitz on Bastion was beautiful.
