I think it was, narratively, a smart decision. It's hard to write a compelling story when you got an "omega level" hero. Thus they showed how powerful she is in order to visualise for the viewer the reason why she had to be removed from the narrative. Else it would be the Captain marvel problem all over again.

And in so doing I own an 80 year collection of superheroes live action film and tv series along with cartoon animation of entire series I’ve collected in the Marvel brand of superhero comics. I saw Blade in theaters with my father, who passed before the first avengers had assembled. Asking how to ground and multiverse in Spider-Man 4 is as easy as reviewing TAS where Carnage & Venom crash a Stark expo, Warmachine and Spidey intervene, and with Stark pulling out the tech ends up in the hands of Kingpin, enter a daredevil atom holland storyline, the time dilation portal projector creates the Spot, enter live action Miles Morales,… which Madame Web’s film should have had Sony birth in 2003, rather than a privileged Peter not attached to any film. Had Mike Epps been Officer Jefferson Davis, Donald Glover setup as Prowler Aaron Davis would be evident, let alone 2018, Miles would be 15 & Into the Spideverse

When Xavier was assassinated he relapsed and almost went full Mutant warfare on humanity but dialed it back to give Xavier one last fighting chance to live and for the last year has been in isolation, hopefully making amends with Wanda and Pietro.

A Reminder though, when the X-Men Animated Series was playing in the 90s.. They weren't really separated from the rest of the Marvel Universe. There had been cameos of other Marvel characters in the cartoon (Captain America, Spider Man, Ms Marvel, The Avengers was in that alternate world sequence vs the X-Men and Magneto.) Which is why in X-Men 97 they still have properties like a Starks Industry sign, or the Daily Bugel paper that flies by the Camera.

I think when Jean had that vision I think she saw Amahl Farouk aka Shadow King. Now with Prof.X out of the picture and Jean distracted with Nathan, its possible that the Shadow King emerged from the Astral plane once more. Storm having lost her powers may go visit her son and then be tempted by the shadow king who may be able to restore her abilities in exchange for something.

I really don't want Magneto to have planned everything. I do think it is fine if he expected rioters to break through and he will have intervene to show his goodwill, but I really want him to genuinely want to protect them all, and would not do something like take away Storm's mutation. The fact that Magneto being able to be redeemed feels important that his crusade was genuine, and the demonisation of freedom fighters who don't do things the cleanest way are not lost.

In the comics, Omega level doesn’t mean you’re the best in your ability, it means that you haven’t reach the limits of your ability. The fact that Professor X needs Cerebro shows that he has a limit hence not Omega but an alpha.

As someone who didn't grow up with The Animated Series, But is a Big Fan Of The X-Men, These Two Episodes Were Fantastic!!! It made Me really Happy to see a really Great Cyclops in these Episodes because while I Love The X-Men Movies, Cyclops never got to do that much in them, So It's Nice to see Him Be The Leader that He is! And it was So Sad to see Storm lose her Powers! I hope we do see her again at somepoint because She is Such A Great Character! But Magneto was The Star of These Episodes In My Opinion. To see a Version of Him where He's This Antihero who's Leading The X-Men is So Fascinating! He's such a Great Character! And I Loved the use of "To Me, My X-Men" from both Scott and Magneto. And The Animation was Phenomenal and The Intro with The Iconic Theme Song! These Two Episodes were just Amazing!!! 10/10!!! I'm very Excited to see what Happens Next!!!

I’d say Magz planned the whole trial thing, but not the executioner being there. He was PISSED about storm! He shed a tear. Earlier he said she’s the closest thing to a Goddess earth will ever witness and he MEANT that. Storm losing her powers was literally the biggest blow to Magneto’s ego because she was a representation of Godhood made flesh in his eyes. The embodiment of what mutant kind could be.

I agree. Cooper is Mystique. She wasn't scared when Magneto was doing his thing because she wasn't in any real danger because she could transform into a flyer, and when humans are in major danger it's because of what she orchestrated. She eventually realizes the elements have never truly left her mind and heart. She's goes to the roof of headquarters, connects with her ancestors, gets struck by lightning and regains her powers.

My introduction to the X-Men was the x-men Evolution series where they’re all teenagers so when I first heard about the cyclops, Jean, and wolverine love triangle my reaction was “WHAT!? But Jean and Cyclops are teenagers!!!! Isn’t Logan like the team dad!?”

Omega level doesn’t exactly mean the best it means that you are very strong but there can be multiple omega level telepaths or any other ability

You are wrong. Omega Level means the apex…the most powerful type of mutant there is in the universe. There is nothing above them. And there are ONLY 15 Omega Level Mutants in the Marvel Universe. Again…only 15. And Storm is one of them, as she is a goddess and the most powerful commander of nature, ever. Jean and Iceman are the other 2 X-Men who are Omega Level and regularly fight with the team. Most telepaths are NOT Omega Level. Professor X is the worlds top telepath and he is not Omega Level. Not even close.

@@PookaList There can be multiple Omega-level mutants for one power type. An example would be Jean Grey and Quentin Quire, who both qualify as Omega-level telepaths.

To me, I think this is leading to the Mutant Massacre since the Morlocks have been introduced. Storm losing her powers is in line with the Fall of the Mutants storyline. Magneto coming to the school is also in line. Gambit now has reason to betray the team leading the assassins to the Morlocks aka all the gravestones. And hopefully we get a new team including Colossus, Havok, Dazzler, and Psylocke

The way i read the scene of Magneto crying after Storm lost her powers was that he had set it up, but that he had actually intended it to be himself who was depowered. We all know Storm will eventually regain her powers, because if there was a chance he did plan for it to hit Storm but something happened and it accidentally hit him, he'd have not wanted that to be permanent. And i may be wrong about this but the way i see Magneto i don't think he'd be willing to do something so horrific to a fellow mutant on purpose, but to himself as a manipulation tactic? I could see that
