No mention of the amazing feat Jean did here, by tackling the falling part of the building and the falling debris (that Cyclops said he would deal with) and safely bringing Cyclops to ground level, while tossing that piece of the structure with no issue. As well as, taking on Prime Sentinel Trask. You should give her a chance, she is a great character. A flawed yet still heroic woman.

Yup. Just a small correction: it was X-men vs. Street Fighter. That was a very underrated and overlooked game, unfortunately shadowed by Marvel vs. Capcom that came out after it.

MvC2. Gambit and Wolverine were the X-Men in MvC. Rogue had one move as an assist character in MvC. People have pointed out she does her dive punch and dive kick from the Capcom games. Edit. I screamed when they found Emma Frost. However, how did she used telepathy in diamond form? Also, how is morph using other characters powers? Metamorphs can only copy genetic appearance. Like in X-Men the film, Mystique was able to copy Wolverines claws, but they weren’t real adamantiun, and he cut them off of one of her hands. Mystique per the comments is also one of the strongest metaphors in the X-Men universe, if anyone could copy powers, it would be her. But also, Morph didn’t have this ability in the original series, so WTF?!

Like if you morph into someone that has gills, if the gills are their “Superpower” and it lets them breathe underwater, yes. Or like morphing into Emma Frost in her diamond form, but he shouldn’t have the durability of her diamond form, the same way that Mystique copied Wolverine’s claws in the first X-Men film. But that’s not what happened with Quicksilver. There’s nothing about his appearance that should make him have super speed. It doesn’t make sense and it’s not what was introduced in X-Men 92.

I'm surprised that Grace didn't have anything to say about Wolverine's show of support for Rogue. I liked that it showed a schism in the X-Men. You'll have Nightcrawler and Morph over on one side and Wolverine and Rogue on the other. People that are idealists versus people that are willing to cross the line to achieve their goals. That dynamic made for some of the greatest interactions between Wolverine and Nightcrawler in the comics. I remember when Nightcrawler saw Wolverine kill someone off-panel and it was a point of tension between them for a long, long time.

honestly this show made me want to start reading xmen comics. since it started, i've been reading the chris claremont uncanny xmen run alongside the new mutants comic and I have to say, not only are the people behind this show doing a phenomenal job portraying these characters but also do it in a way that leaves you hooked and wanting to know more about them and their relationships. it's been a little over a month now and every single day since the premiere I've read an issue or 2 (or many more if the stories leave me thirsty) of the uncanny xmen and my life has never been better lol I can finally understand why so many people are so passionate about them.

The show's writing is usually so sharp and so good that I almost missed what I think is an error: Jean sensed Emma telepathically and specifically called out a "telepath" in the rubble, which is why Cyke had a big sad after it was Emma cuz like you said he thought it might be Madelyne. But from what I understand about Emma's 2ndary mutation, when Emma is in her diamond form she has no access to her telepathy whatsoever. She obviously survived because of her diamond form, so how did Jean locate her again? Maybe a whoopsy there. Anyway, still an awesome episode. Flying Purple People Eater will forever be one of the creepiest songs in the world for me, especially after that Peele movie.

Professor X and Magneto weren’t created to represent Martin Luther King and Magneto. X-Men was created as a rip off The Doom Patrol. That was in the 2010s that Lee started saying that l.

While Stan Lee's X-Men delved into Civil Rights Movement allegory soon after their debut, his Professor X and Magneto remained generic (and intended to be biological brothers). Chris Claremont patterned them after Israeli Prime Ministers David Ben-Gurion and Menachem Begin. It was only ever US-centrist fans and thus recent generations of writers who read Dr. MLK Jr. and Malcolm X into these two.

With these seeds of conflict being planted and the new emerging ideologies of some X-Men clashing, I suspect they could adapt the X-Men Schism and split the team in season two. With one team following Magneto's path led by Cyclops and the other following Xavier's path most likely led by Storm. Or maybe just adapt X-Force: a mutant Black Ops team willing to take more drastic measures for the mutant cause, even killing. If they don't split up, would Cyclops keep X-Force a secret from the rest of the team like in the comics?

After this episode, if the team really splits, who do I think would continue in the X-Men and fight for Xavier's dream, and who do I think would follow Magneto's path in X-Force or in another team: X-Men (Led by Storm): -Storm, Jean Grey, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Forge, Morph, Wolverine (by his reaction to what Rogue did, i think he would possibly be on the X-Force but i don't know if he would side with Cyclops against Jean and Storm) -X-Force (Led by Cyclops) Cyclops, Cable (possibly), Magneto, Rogue, Beast, Emma Frost I don't know whick side Roberto would take. If i had to guest i would say Cyclops.
