That's the John Byrne version of Wolvie's suit --- I think the late, great, John Romita designed the original blue/yellow suit, which was tweaked a bit later by Dave Cockrum. I always thought the brown/yellow suited him better.

I noticed that when Rogue is talking about how the team/family have abandoned each other, she's not being hyperbolic about having left Morph for dead after barely 30 minutes of being on the team. It's a literal, meta reference to the original series! It was about halfway through the second episode of the original series that Cyclops makes the call to leave Morph for dead, which would've been only about 30 minutes.

OMG!!!! They did Hulk more justice than the MCU did during the Infinity Saga… This episode had me on a high the whole time, then my heart was torn out in the end when Magneto gave Wolverine the business… Also, will Cyclops choose to save Gene or Cable?! I wanted Magneto to die so bad, but it seems like his healing factor, or luck is just as good as Wolverine’s. Man, Wolverine appearing to take an L was rough. On another note, I like how they showed Magneto’s powers like they did in Age of Apocalypse. Magneto can literally control the world and everything in it because most things have some minute amounts of metal in it, people, infrastructure, etc.

Morph is a biomutant, his mass can increase or decrease, mimicking the frame and agility of other super powered individuals. His strength is relative to his size increase. For example, he can fly as Archangel, yet when he morphed into Hulk, Jean helped boost his strength with her telekinesis. That is the blue aura you see around Morphulk.

The reverse roast on the black leather from the fox X-men fox movies was stellar. Bastion needed to save those tears for turning his mother into a monster. Not to say that she didn’t already have the mindset for it. Storm’s bleeding heart is working my nerves. Nothing good can come of Bastion keeping his powers in this timeline. I just feel like bishop is going to come back and reset the time line with a Nathan clone and some upgraded Forge tech for the electromagnetic issue. Maybe not this season but at some point. And I am certainly not mad at Magnus for that throne because watching a little boy (Leach the sweetest character in the cartoon) getting vaporized before your eyes is rough.

Yes he can. Magneto's power is electromagnetism, not metal manipulation. If you watch the OG Xmen series there's a scene where he throws storm - using a gravitational field. The Fox movies made Magneto just a metalkinetic.

In Deadly Reunions, Xavier used his powers against Magneto while Mags was wearing the helmet. The helmet being designed to block psionics came from the Fox films and was adapted to the comics afterwards. Before that, Magneto was naturally incredibly resistant to psychic attack because of his will and latent psionic powers which have since been forgotten about.

Dude, imagine if the show ended with X-Men beating Magneto, with him in a coma and Onslaught coming. I do think that since Rogue is Colossus in the '97 version and as much as I hate it, she will still side with Magneto. The team will also beat Bastion, but with a scene of only his head chopped off by Gambit like in the comics after becoming Death by Sinister or Apocalypse. That would be a great cliffhanger for more to come in season two.

I could see Rogue being a double agent, especially since she mentions, "Time out suga, you're playing to kill." when she tackled Wolverine to the ground. I wonder if that line is meant to be her saying essentially to not kill him because they need him. Like she's trying to get in close to siphon his power so she can try to get the emp situation under control. Also, another reason I could see her being a double agent too is because of Carol Danvers (Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel). The last time she was shown in the X-men Animated series, she was still comatose. Yes, Rogue is gutted and vengeful by Gambit's murder but I could see her worrying about what Magneto's emp will do to her comatose "friend"/victim (not sure what the right word for it would be since Rogue stole her powers and is remorseful of what she did and they interacted in that mindscape stuff before Rogue was able to put her mind back in her comatose body) and other innocent people, especially after she's been awake and maybe had offscreen time to talk with Nightcrawler.

Speedrun of the iconic parts that happened in the comics. There's too much content. I also note some parallels with the current Orchis arc. I think they are also limited by the number of other characters that can appear. It's ok for the Avengers to make some cameos, but I'm not expecting them to bring in the AvX storyline anytime soon. It runs against the general MCU direction right now. I reckon maybe season 3, when they are more likely to do the Phoenix 5 arc. That'd be a good time to bring in some form of the Avengers.

When the final fight scene started I just knew. I paused the episode and pull out my Fatal Atractions series that I bought when I was 13 (1993). Wolverine regains his adamantium after defeating Sabertooth in which Apocalypse orchestrated and Wolverine becomes a Horseman

Hey Charlie, there are a few issues I have with your take. I have mentioned this about you before. In general, good breakdown, but there are aspects in your breakdown which makes it appear as if you haven't read the books, or haven't read the leadup to the books. 1. It was not a ruse that Collosus joined Magneto to Avalon (the name it was at the time, not Asteroid M). The reason was, collosus was angry about his sister Illyana dying from the Legacy virus and all of X-men missions prevented him from being with her, infact, he was not around when illyana actually died. This was also in addition to Collosus having to have killed a few villains during the claremont run, and claremont made it very clear that collosus was such a gentle soul, that this was not him....but the constant conflicts resulted in him having to do this. When collosus got on Avalon, he did contribute to the ability of the X-Men to sneak onto the base...but even after Wolverine's adamantium was ripped out, and Magneto's mind was shut down, Collosus did NOT rejoin the X-Men, but actually STAYED on Avalon. 2. Magneto during Fatal Attraction did NOT remove the magnetic field, he did rip a hole in it which caused the EMP blast, but there was never a threat of radiation damage from the solar wind. 3. Cable's suite is the classic blue and gold X-Men colors they have worn since X-Men 1963. The X-Men at various times always dons these. For example, around Uncanny x-men 275, the entire team wore it, including wolverine. Cable actually wears this in marvel vs Capcom 2 game that came out around 2000, so it wasn't this omage to Cyclops as it is the actual color theme of the X-Men themselves. 4. Most of the gear the X-Men wear are from the 70s/80s run of Claremont. Wolverine's gear was after the Dark phoenix saga (the brown suit), Storms was her orginal from Giant Size X-men in 1975, as was nightcrawlers, Collosus. Cyclops was in the late 60s, and was popular during the early claremont run all the way until Cyclops formed X-Factor in 1986. Jean Greys was her second costume from the 60s (as her first costume was the traditional yellow/blue color theme that the X-men always have. Pryde of the X-Men was simply being comic book accurate at the time (for example Dazzler's hair was no longer long. 5. This was NOT her X-Men Legacy Green suit. That actually had two horizontal stripes at the waist. But that suit itself was just a minor change of Rogue's Original suit from Avengers Annual #10 in 1981, which was Rogue's first appearance. so this IS rogue's original suit. So don't give credit to X-men Legacy, which came out 25 years after Rogue debuted. 6. It is completely incorrect that Sinister cloned jean to access phoenix. That is fundamentally wrong. Sinister cloned jean, because the original had Died (later reconned to be in suspended animation under hudson bay), and the reason for the cloning is because Jean and cyclops has the perfect gene combination which will produce an ridiculously powerful Omega Level Mutant in Nate Grey. This mutant would then have the power so that Sinister can retaliate against Apocalypse, who was Sinisters sort of overlord. As you know, the cloned jean (Madelyne) did not produce Nate Grey, but produced Nathan (Cable), and Apocalypse then infected him with the technoorganic virus and cyke was forced to send him into the future with askani in order to save him. Cable is still Omega level...but a vas proportion of his telekinetic power is forced to focus on preventing the virus from overunning his body and thus cable is Nerfed as a result and doesn't operate as an omega level mutant. 7. Again, it isn't called Asteroid M at the time in the comics. It is Avalon, if you want to be comic accurate. 8. Jean Grey does NOT have native Phoenix Force powers. Way back in the comics, the editor Jim Shooter made it crystal clear that he didn't want to accept that Jean Grey and the phoenix was one and the same as that would mean that the 5 million souls that were killed when the star went super nova during the dark phoenix saga, would be unconscionable if jean were not to have consequences and that type of thing was not acceptable for a hero. This led to Chris Claremont changing it to Jean being possessed by the phoenix, which again later was retconned to Jean being replaced by a perfect copy of herself by the phoenix and that jean herself was actually not around during the phoenix and dark phoenix saga. Now, marvel established that Phoenix is a Multiversal force/entity and thus can chose to merge with anyone it pleases. After all in Avengers vs X-men, phoenix was split so that 1/5 went into cyclops, collosus, Emma Frost and so forth. So, I again say, your reviews are entertaining.... and it's seems like you have read enough of the comics.. but it still seems like many aspects of the comics were not read, and it kinda seems you are going by cliff notes of the events, instead of having actually read the events.
