The amount of times human leaders attacked mutants AFTER they lay down their arms is numberless. Can you blame him for not believing in living together, after being backstabbed that many times? After going out of his way to live his life without threatening humans AT ALL. Also, his attack on the magnetosphere wasn't just an attack on mankind. This saved mutants all over the world. The sentinels were hunting mutants, remember? The X-MEN couldn't defeat them. What chance did the random mutants with no training had? It was a slaughter. The X-Men are alive BECAUSE magneto did that. And once he reverses what he did, the sentinels go back to hunting Mutants. I honestly think the X-Men are the wrong ones here. Did Magneto cross a line by removing the magnetic shield of the entire planet? Yes. But he had a reason for that: stopping the sentinels that were actively hunting mutants all over the planet. How many mutants magneto saved with that stunt? To start, basically all X-Men. Remember, it's easy for Charles to play the honourable one here. Magneto was the one watching the death. Magneto was the one being tortured and experimented on.

He respects the "rights" of people to hate mutants and defend their deaths. Because he's one of the few people who can, actually, erase hateful ideologies from existence. But he refuses to. I agree about Jubilee's powers still being so generic! After Episode 4, I thought her fight against the Magneto in the video game would've gotten a callback in this episode! Most people say it's the weakest of the entire season (myself included) so seeing a key moment of the episode coming into play in the penultimate episode would've been nice! Also, Magneto said she'd be better off learning to master her abilities to survive in a world that would have her exterminated. So, her taking his words to heart and learning more about her powers to get the better of him during this fight would've been great!
@chrisnicholson32316 ай бұрын
When Jubilee and Roberto started fighting, I thought she might seriously hurt him as the strength of her powers increases when she's emotional. The Fatal Attractions storyline of Wolverine has always been one of my favorite storylines growing up reading comics. What a treat for me👍
@matthewhostetter89746 ай бұрын
Fatal Attraction was such a pivotal point in Wolverine's history. He was no longer nearly invincible, his healing factor didn't work for several months, he actually felt human and had to learn to adapt. Plus it for the first time confirmed his claws were a part of his mutant power. I'm so excited to see where this goes. Plus the fact they ripped the final moment right from the comic.
@gamerdaddyomg52246 ай бұрын
@@matthewhostetter8974I never saw his claws as a mutant power. How I interpreted the Fatal Attractions aftermath was that Wolverine had an excess of adamantium ending in his hands that became claws. Over time, his bones adapted with the excess adamantium and he was able to deploy the adapted bones as bone claws that never existed before the Weapon X surgery. I still remember the first issue after where he popped out the bone claws, and how much pain it showed him, that his healing powers masked when it was fully active and not over maxed with healing the rest of the body.
@matthewhostetter89746 ай бұрын
@@gamerdaddyomg5224 This is an interesting theory but we've learned over time that his bone claws have always been a part of his mutation, in fact, he manifested his claws before his healing factor. We've also learned that he's always in pain every time his claws pop. Something passed to even his children Lauren, Daken and Gabby.

@@matthewhostetter8974 in the original show i don't think they are considered to be a part of his mutation. when the x men go to the savage lands in season 2 to save prof X and magneto everyone's powers are disabled by sinister but wolverine whips out his claws and says something like "there's nothing mutant about these". though i suppose it could be a similar scenario to beast or nightcrawler, in that disabling his powers is not going to have him transform into a human again
@matthewhostetter89746 ай бұрын
@@cat8506 Of course they didn't there, There was still a lot about Wolverine we didn't know back then. Fatal Attraction happened during what might have been seasons 2-3. So the writers didn't know. Hell, we didn't even get Wolverine's true origins till after the show was over. But ironically no X-men cartoon ever really handled his claws being bone. Not till the movies themselves. It's just crazy to think we are getting this moment now and I'm all for it. People always complained Wolverine was too powerful and to much of the "face" of the show. Now we get the see a side of him we only saw in the comics.

Sinister didn't use the car to Sheild himself under it. He was actually traveling through the shadows. The car casted a shadow on the floor that he used to travel through. Kind of like Wanda traveling via reflections in Dr Strange

Except Logan was not aiming to kill Magneto. He still needed him alive to fix the Earth's magnetic field, and incapacitating him was a way to do it.
@felixlara29456 ай бұрын
If wolverine killed him then everybody would've lost unless Scarlett witch decided she wanted earth to have a magnetic field again
@felixlara29456 ай бұрын
Remember the goal was to hijack his powers to turn the magnetic field back on, magneto wasn't suppressing it, it was just off, killing him wouldn't have turned it back on

I've been thinking that Mr Sinister messed with morphs powers and that's how he's able to do what he does now
@jimcounts81246 ай бұрын
That makes sense. Sinister has “unlocked” other mutants powers before. Like when he gave Gambit the power to charge things by sight alone

Not sure if it was mentioned in the comments already, but when Rogue talked about Morph, she referenced them as "them" following the recent controversy (?) of Morph being non-binary

Can’t wait to see you cover more videos about X-Men as well as everything in the future coming up! Much love to you, Doug, and the gang at Screencrush!

Just a small correction - Beast says in the episode that the Sentinels are likely powered by Bastion's technokinetic powers. Also, yeah the Wolverine thing. Great scene/comic. Still makes no sense why they would knowingly and intentionally send him against Magneto. It'd be one thing if they were facing an unknown threat only to realize it is Magneto when they arrive...but if you know out of the gate? That's just poor planning.
@Spongemonkey266 ай бұрын
Scott sent Wolverine to fight Magneto because he dang sure wasn't going to leave him alone on a mission with Jean lol.

I think Jubilee will definitely figure out how to fly in the finale. She mentioned it in part 1 and seemed like she tried to use her powers to propel herself when she straight up jumped off the building. And then with Simulated old Jubilee in the Mojo episode, showing Main Jubilee that she's capable of so much more with her powers. Maybe Jubilee will end up catching Roberto as he falls. I know he can fly but maybe he ends up with a dampener and falls or something. And that love she feels is what makes her ability to fly click. Also Magneto definitely crimped the helmet to Charles' head to prevent him from using his powers at all. If the helmet can shield the target from attack, then logically it would stop the attacker from being able to target. If that makes sense.
