I'm glad there was additional dialogue for everyone. I absolutely loved both versions, in theatrical version though, I got annoyed at how little dialogue the future cast had. Introducing a load of new characters and not even giving an inch of limelight unless it's their deaths was frustrating.

I really loved all the little moments that were added in The Rogue Cut. Like when young Magneto is stealing his helmet back he sees the coin that he used to kill Sebastian Shaw with in First Class and it still has blood stains on it or when Professor X tells the veteran he was crippled by "Friendly fire" and of course the Scarlet Witch reference.

it figures that in the "Rogue cut" they find a way to blow up the mansion again lol... it didn't feel like a true X-Men movie unless the mansion got destroyed in some way lol

the rogue cut adds more to the sentinel copying powers plot. i mean when did mystique could do that if the sentinels were created with her DNA??

I loved the theatrical cut, which was beautifully woven together, but I am always down to see the director's cut as well. First, because it gives you a great excuse to watch again; and second because after processing the story once, you'll pick up things you missed the first time, which are a nice companion to what's been restored. Oliver Stone's full cut of Alexander is amazingly different and inspiring, if you want to get into real life superheroes of the ancient past who inspired the mythos that later became comic books. I know! I'm a huge Unbreakable fan! They nailed the whole concept in that movie! Can't wait to see your reaction to the Deadpool trailer!

I wasn't actually going to buy it, because a friend of mine said he thought it was pretty dumb. But, I thought I'd just wait for your reactions, and see if it at all convinces me to. Soooo, guess I'm buying it after all :D. God job guys

If you haven't bought the movie yet but you liked it when you saw it theaters, it sounds like you should just buy the Rouge Cut Blu-ray because it comes with both versions. I wish they did that with the Extended Lord of the Rings Blu-rays.

You guys are totally right about Shawn Ashmore. He totally nailed it here. You guys mention Bishop, Blink and Warpath not making it. Another thing that crossed my mind about that in the Rogue Cut is how the camera pulls across the shrine with all the pictures of the dead mutants that haven't made it, then when Iceman talks about how "We tried, it's too well defended," it all came into focus immediately for me that this is how they died. There was some mission where they tried to get Rogue out and half the team got pummeled. Thank you for reviewing this, guys!

Damn, Hector was about to flame the fans and got cut off. That was hilarious. We don't do it to be mean! Well most of us don't anyway... And good review! Definitely helps sway my position towards buying it. I really wasn't sure if this was a director's cut or something they added in afterwards but I actually do like to see the director's vision of a movie over the producer's.

I enjoyed seeing bishop and sunspot get more lines but Rogue was yet again weak as ever. Seriously, can we for once get Robue to be super powered or something? All she did was run, we need to see a more compelling and action packed Rogue similar to the Animated Series from the 90s.

I thought the Rogue part of the movie was really dumb. It felt forced how she took over for Kitty Pride. I like the theatrical cut much more. The movie also repeats itself with the Rogue rescue scene. It feels too much like the Magneto rescue scene.

Well you can't have kitty there just holding Logan for hours not to mention she got cut by Logan so I think the inclusion of rouge was perfect.

Rogue Cut isn't the director's cut though. Neither were the LOTR extended cuts. The theatrical cuts were the directors cuts. The stuff was cut for a reason.

The Wolverine takes place after X3: The Last Stand and before Days of Future Past. The post- credit scene of The Wolverine leads into Days of Future past as Xavier and Magneto talk to Logan about Trask.
