I love the effect of Shaw's energy absorption powers. They could have gone the obvious route, a light effect beneath his skin. But the effect they went with, the refracted multi-images, is just so creative and visually unsettling!

I’m not even sure there’s a good way to kill him. If he can absorb impact, can a blade cut him? Azazel can kamikaze him to the bottom of the ocean or into a volcano. Space might not work because there’s space radiation, it’ll only make him stronger. What Charles did, was occupy his mind and turn off his power for a coin to pierce him, is like the only good method.

He's not flying he just appeared in the air for a moment before teleporting away.

He can't fly. When he teleports, he maintains the momentum he had before he teleported. Since he teleported the guy from a standing position, when he teleports to the air above, he maintains that standing position for a short while, then gravity takes over and makes him fall. He just dropped the guy and teleported out before gravity got a hold of him. That also explains why, when he was sent flying when he fought Beast on the beach, he teleported and still maintained his forward momentum. His power displaces his body, but doesn't undo the momentum it had when he initiated the teleportation.

He probably could hold them off for awhile, but the sentinels from the future are designed to outsmart and overcome any mutant powers (they are built based on the sentinel, Nimrod). So eventually, they would figure out a way to exterminate Sebastian Shaw.

Really random food for thought, but if azazel/ kurt can teleport into open air and they dont seem to have a limit for how much they can teleport/ how long they have to wait between teleporting, could they not continually teleport in the same point in space and thus hover/ fly around like a ball of smoke? Yes i see the argument that if yu can just jump point a to point b with 0 latency why bother applying it to flight, but for the sake of the argument I feel like its totally within the realms of possible no?

Azazel's teleportztion conserves his momentum, or therefore lackof. In the fight with Beast they were already falling before teleportation, so they're still falling afterwards, whereas here he teleports from a standing still position without initial momentum.
