Marvel’s most outcast band of not-so-merry-mutants, The Morlocks, have been through the ringer. They’re a sewer-dwelling society that has been both a “thornne” in the X-Men’s side, as well as an occasional ally.
In this video I talk about the general history of the Morlocks, and give an overview about the group’s leadership throughout the years - some of which may surprise you!

What’s also of note is that, for most of them, their powers were seen as either too unstable or not useful enough for Xavier’s team. The problem with the Morlocks, for Marvel, was that they were mutants living in the New York sewers who were failed by both human society and, effectively, all of the heroes. Unfortunately, none of the Morlocks were pizza loving turtles. An interesting one being post massacre where Thor cremated all of the deceased and their belongings… only for Callisto and the survivors lamenting over how they were unable to bury their dead. Other examples of that can be seen with Cypher. Callisto is kind of cool, honestly. Honestly, if Storm were to ever get with a woman… Callisto is kind of up there. Side note; I do like how Marauders brought her back. Her discussion with Masque about why she was okay with Kitty using the name was good. Not to mention, it was interesting how she interacted with Jumbo Carnation of all people. Probably because he was the first non x-men mutant celebrity who died via kick overdose after a gang of humans attacked him. Plus, he couldn’t pass as human either with his four arms.

I would love a Morlock book in the Krakoa era. Same with the Acolytes and the MLF. Funnily enough Skids has been a member of all of them.

Oyher people here other than me because they've identified as Morlocks for years of their lives? When I was 14 way before myspace Facebook Google and all. My password has always been Morlock for more than 22 years. Growing up also 14 started going out roaming the streets. I always swelled in tunnels and under bridges . Lol not being homeless just loved the fact that only weirdos and lost souls and misfits and outlasts swelled there. I use to spray paint Morlocks all over 9 different states . Bridges tunnels , roads abandon buildings and signs. To mark my turf. The MCU need to introduce this amazing band of Outcasts

Honestly I really hope we see Anna Lee resurrected along with her children that Scalphunter killed. Between the comics and the X-Men animated cartoon I've always really liked her character and thought they could have done so much more with her. Her story ended on such a sad note it would be wonderful just to see them in the background on Krakoa.
