Thank you so much The "Messiah Trilogy" makes me laugh - the only thing people agree on is that Part 1 is Messiah Complex 😁 I was really surprised to hear you include Necrosha X as part of it! For me, the Trilogy is: Prelude - HoM P1 = Messiah Complex P1.5 = Messiah War (it's not essential) P2 = Second Coming P3 = AvX (the conclusion of Hope's Messiah story and loop back to Scarlet Witch's recovery after HoM) Looking forward to part 5!!! I originally planned to try and read X-men starting from 1989 Giant Size up to the present because I hate reading a comic and it referencing something that I have no clue about. The first 2 videos made it seem doable albeit time consuming. This video made me realize how tedious it can/will be to do so. I've been looking at Brubaker for the cosmic tie ins. Aside from Dark Genesis having had a recent reprint some of that run is getting expensive. I figure if you include the miniseries and the full Messiah Complex event a Complete Brubaker would fill two books nicely.

I love the claremont era of X-men but Messiah Complex and Astonishing X-men are right up there with Claremont's best in my opinion. Especially Astonishing. Everything about that book, excpect the continued dumping on of Professor X, was amazing.

Nothing has been reset. There is no Crisis on X-men. The same characters you've read about since 1963 are still the same characters now.

About the topic... today Amaxon posted for a few minutes a solicitacion for December 2021 of the X-Men by Jonathan Hickman Omnibus vol 1, containing X-Men 1-21, Annual 1 and X-Men Giant Size 1, but no reprinting House of X/Powers of X nor the issues of X of Swords, so it might be a good idea grabbing those two OHC before they go out of print. Just saying...
