Those transparent shadows shows that they REALLY understand Saturn hardware

I saw a working 6 player version being sold for $500ish in the late 90s from a mall arcade in Taylor, MI. I wrote down the number to call and ask about buying it, then realized there was no way I could get it to fit in my place at the time. Also......no one mentioning those ground shadows in the demo!?! I knew something looked different right off the bat and it's super noticeable when you look at the side-by-side footage with the arcade. Looks like a great improvement over the arcade version in my book.

Its weird that the 6 player cabinet is considered rare. at my local arcade back in the day (R.I.P Galaxy World) they had it. And another one nearby had it too. I think it wasn't until i went to a local bowling alley that i saw the 4P cabinet. Oddly enough that means i never saw the basic 2P cabinet. I definitely see that there is still alot of work to be done, but I definitely think so far its looking really good. I also noticed that the shadows on the characters looked so much better than in the arcade 'blob' shadow. Its an actual shadow of the character, which is really cool. I am really intrigued to see what else becomes of this project.

If by "super rare" you mean very common, then yes, the 6-player cabinet was super rare lol. The 6-player cabinet was (at least in the midwest) by far the most common cabinet, followed by the 4-player standard Konami cabinet. Sad that the pictures for the 4p and 6p cabinets were photoshopped and/or had the CRTs swapped out for ugly LCD monitors.
