Hellions mos def was my fav comic. A moment I liked as well was Jean Grey beating the crap out of nightmare in the X-men book! Also new mutants in space was also a fun arc

Happy new year!! ive spent a good deal of my holidays catching up with my X-books. I love that you seem to love Storm as much as i do. but quick personal points: Kitty and Emma's revenge against Shaw, Go girls! Nimrods return. so scary! persoanlly i was stoked to have Scarlett Witch back to being a daughter and friend of Krakoa. love these vids. more in 22 pleeeeez!

I like Madelyne's re-emergence this year. I don't think we've ever gotten a whole lot of personality post-Goblin Queen except that she wants revenge on one Summers or another. The orphanage part we get to see her frustration and motivation to be more than just Jean's clone.

Maddie's story as the Goblin Queen is done & dusted. It basically flies in the face of all logic for her to be resurrected. No wonder Scott & Jean were like, BYE, we're moving back to NYC. If she turns Goblin, I just want her to utterly destroy Sinister (I mean, if she wants to blame anybody for her tragic life, it's him, not Scott, Jean, Cable nor Alex) & then Magik comes & locks her forever in Limbo.

I would LOVE a Maddie nice-girl arc where she becomes the team's full-time pilot. I like the Goblin Queen persona, but it's almost so expected of her now that it feels old. Especially right off the bat. Like give the girl another chance at corruption first!!

I think one thing that we differ on is that I love the talking moments. I think there is a mandate that a comic needs to have a battle, but I think the quiet or fun talking moments give the battles more stakes. X-Factor had a weak ending, but it was one of my favorite books for many of the reasons that I think you enjoyed it less.

My LCS begged me to pick up Hellions, guaranteeing that I would enjoy it. That smarmy, "I told you so" look when I sheepishly returned to pick up the rest of the run is an image I won't soon forget...

I was less into Kwannon and Betsy fighting, because I never had any beef with Betsy for what the writers and editors did to Kwannon. They were both victims, even though Betsy got the sexy fun reward. Big shout out to making Kwannon a Captain. 2021 was definitely the year of Kwannon! I don't mind Storm having sexual chemistry with basically anyone, because Storm. Whom amongst us...? As far as her being the boring omega, I agree. But I think it helps that her current role and setting are on such a grand scale. You can't recreate the gritty, grounding depowering story from Claremont, so let's go the other extreme! I've heard some criticisms that Destiny's traditional older form was a way of desexualizing a sapphic relationship, during an era where that wasn't Comics Code approved. But I agree with you, and love the Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor vibage. Mostly I just wanted to say that your channel has been my favorite new addition to YT in 2021. It's wonderful to see the X-community come out of the fandom ghetto, and your content is always excellent and consistent!

Yeah it's an unknown Arakko mutant who can take her shape. They were only in it for like a panel or two mid-fight, so we don't have any backstory, but I totally got Shaitan vibes if you can recall that X-Treme X-Men deep cut
