... thanks sharing your adventures trip to BATAM...a good weekend trip and short holiday....try to make a trip to PHILIPPINES...A interesting country to visit..Cost of living nit too costly and Philippines have had a different, culture..Lots of interesting cuisine you may not experience if you have not visit Philippines....Still maintained lots of Spanish heritage... Very good for a change... English ,& Tagalog common language..Not a problem..Good Luck and 新年快乐😊😊😊

Thanks for your recommendation. For those living in Singapore, locals and foreigners alike, if they are on a shoestring budget, Malaysia's Johore and Indonesia's Batam or Bintan are their preferred choice for a short vacation. Travelling to these destinations does not require airplanes which can be quite expensive. All it takes are just cheap land transport or ferry services 😊

You can try Tanjong Balai in Karimun Island which is about 2 hours ferry ride from Harbourfront Centre. It is a simple and sleepy town. Go with a group of your friends
