I was in FSX for less than 10 years, I try X plane 11 and now I don't know why some people continue to stay on the old fsx...However just to said that you do a great work and x plane 11 is amazing !! cheers !

It's funny how these guys always want to make a tutorial for BEGINNERS... but are so disconnected with what a beginner means. I have no idea what this guy is doing with all those fields he is filling in. What the heck is an AIRAC Cycle??? You really need to dumb it down dude.

Your flight is in no way for beginners. You go through it so fast a beginner would not be able to keep up. You rip through the startup procedures and then put in the flight plan in less than 5 minutes. If you are going to spam someones channel and say yours is better then at least have one that IS better because that one sure isn't.

In the real life, captains of airlines spent a lot of time preparing the flight, and is a long procedure. May be an hour of preflight and half hour to do the checklist in cabin.

a simple google search will tell you what airac is, but you don't have to know what exactly it means you just put the year followed by the month example august 2014 is 1408

I like it all ! To the comment about thinking it out before hand... well then, there is no KZbin in his brain, so I guess you miss all the preliminary thought process. Besides, as the presenter thinks out loud, it gives time to the viewer to view, think, process, question, etc. So... TY for the video!! You did good IMHO!!

you can just type the city name in the flight plane arrival and destination and it gives you a list of airports in those cities. You dont have to search it separately.

Hi, Thank you for the video. It gvies very useful information. I live in Adana, Turkey. There is an airport with LTAF code but I couldn't find its charts on the net. I have found something but it doesn't give me detailed as you show in the video. I mean there is no arrival charts or departure charts seperately. Could you please help for LTAF?

Thanks for the tutorial. Its not an easy subject to teach. Would like a bit more detail on the chart symbols and explanations of the terms. I think this is more of a 10 part guide than a 3 part guide. From what I have seen this is alot more beginner than similar tutorials on youtube

Likewise, very informative video, I am just getting into the flight sim realm and from what I have seen will be a great past time and hobby for me. I am interested in flying the 737.... and when I mean interested I mean I will be acquiring the panels display, MCP, FMC overhead and aft panels quadrants the works.....not sure how they all are going to be fully acquired or funded, but by the time I do, I should be well versed in flying the 737 PMG. I expect to be fully immersed in the sim, with the help and tutorials of people such as yourself. Thank you for a passion I never new I would have and acquire.

did a flight plan on onlineflightplaner and it just had one star no sids. fmc the way u showed us for me adds sids and many stars? so i use simbrief's plan in conjunction with fmc's plan correct?

Sorry but the way you are making flight plans are awkwardly and the maps you are using are out-of-date. This is particularly true for airliners, should the simulation approach the reality. SkyVector is my opinion outdated. It offers plenty but only suitable for short flights with small aircraft. SimBrief.com is a very good and practical example how to prepare a dispatch plan today. It also includes flight plans, taking into account current factors such as weather conditions and it also offers corresponding SID and STAR .....

Hey! No problem. Keep in mind this video is for people who just bought a flight sim and have no idea what v speeds are or what a VOR is. This is for them to jump into the default 737 and be able to fly to another airport succesfully. Then if they choose to step up the realism im sure they will manage.

you have to spend more time explaining charts, and have a more reliable source of chart access. Googling charts with the airport code does not always work.

I’m a pilot trying to play X-planes and tbh I’ve listened to what you were saying through the approach charts and that ‘thing’ you were saying is waypoint is not! It’s a holding fix- entry to the holding pattern! Basically all this you’re doing is nowhere close to beginner level. You were looking at the ILS charts for a while and still didn’t use it and same with the METARS... A lot of very insignificant info 4 a simulator on a computer🙅🏼‍♂️
