Haha, very true. Most Boeing systems are the same. Until you get to the 787 and MAX aircraft, it definitely gets different then. Happy to have done it.

Thanks for this, I learned a lot. The central isolation switch needs to stay closed, if you open it you cut off the air supply to the bulk cargo heat and the C Hyd Res and get the AIR PRESS caption on the left, which came on when you did that.

2 years later, I know lol. Just a few notes: Idk if this is the generic cold/dark startup setting for this sim, but there are a bunch of switches that never get turned off: Yaw dampers EECs Engine driven hydraulic pumps Left and right generators APU generator Trim air Left and right engine and APU bleeds Center isolation valve. During the before start checklist the left and right isolation valves should already be open as those get opened during shutdown. Engine start selectors are always in auto unless you’re starting an engine or the QRH calls for it. Engine ignition selector should be in 1 or 2, both is only used when the QRH calls for it. Match the cabin pressurization controller to the ignition selector. 1/1 or 2/2. The secondary engine indicator is the little black display directly above the auto brakes selector. The ILS test is where you’d put a non functioning frequency in it, match the course to the present aircraft heading and press the test button, you should observe the ils indications testing on both ADI/HSI and the standby attitude indicator. Reserve brake and steering switch is to the right of the captain’s VSI. Most operators wait for N2 to reach “max motoring” or around 25% before turning the fuel on. There should be a red limit tic mark on the EGT during start, when that red tic mark goes away the engine is stable. APU generator switch and bleed never goes off, just shut the apu down. Center isolation valve is always on. Just in the interest of realism!

For the O2 test, you forgot to check the psig doesn't drop more than 100psi on the EICAS

@@LCFC_Chris I have 757 and 767, 747-8, and had the 777 too. Going between them is pretty easy. I think a Boeing person could go between those IRL without too much trouble. The 737 is a different matter, the overhead on that is a 1960s dogs dinner with bits thrown in from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s.

I do plan on doing a full flight, yes. I do recommend it if you have the money to spare. It's not the best aircraft but it's fairly well done. If it's on sale, definitely consider it.

APU on, APU Bleed on, Packs off, engine selector to ignition, engine #2 switch to start, and once at N25 switch fuel cutoff to idle.
