I own both Microsoft and XP- 12.. I've been doing flight simulation for about 25 years and I can proudly say that I enjoy both simulators for different reasons... Keep up the good work Austin!!

Yep, long may the competition drive both products forward.

I love seeing both of the windsocks on the hills when approaching runway 10...just like in the real world! Nice flying, mate.

Just as well you got the Van's stopped in time, there are sharks swimming around that bay. I'm not joking, I saw them as I was checking out the new scenery in the Bell 412 😉

Yep, check out the fisherman on the boat being circled…

Microsoft has a Billion $$$ company behind it.. Not that it invests that much but X-Plane isn't bad for less that 20 employees

The map enhancer is the one causing those odd elevation issues. They are not compatible.

Interesting isn’t it. If you look at the airport scenery you will notice a retaining wall at the back of the parking area. Orthophotos just folded straight over the top of it. When I removed the ortho tiles the problem went away.

It's too bad that Austin never really embraced scenery. Custom tiles for every occasion might have worked 20 years ago, but you will still need a gazillion of them before things look right. I am really disappointed with the jagged coastlines and the occasional spike on an island shore. I figure some of it is the batch processing isnt quite as advanced as MSFS's AI processing.

I believe they are currently working on a complete rewrite of the scenery engine. Not before time I’d say, looking forward to seeing the results.

If at first you don’t succeed crash into the sea 😀. Hats off to the pilots who do it for real….
