Just couple of things that could make your flight even more realistic... At 500' AGL manifold pressure 25/rpm 2500, at 1000' AGL manifold pressure 20/rpm 2300. This should give you the performance for circuit, you would be targeting 120 Kias on downwind, on final 100 Kias down to 90 towards touchdown.

I've found as you near the threshold you'll start bleeding off airspeed which will cause the aircraft to drop so you'll need to add power to keep 90 to 100 mph...keep adding or reducing power as you hold the plane off and slowly and smoothly touch down. It does work...had the same problem as you but after talking with some others about it I've been shown how it's done correctly. Come on back to X Plane supanova!

I would expect more lift from ground effect. I'm struggling a bit with X-Plane 12 at the moment.

@@supanova88 I think the Baron drops when the engines slow down unlike single engine planes but when you add power you don't drop...keep enough power and stay above 85 kts so you don't drop. The baron is the hardest plane to learn but it is flyable and I get where you're coming from.

The landing characteristics are very wrong. I have a lot of flying hours on the Beech Baron and it's one of the finest aircraft I ever flew, that's not at all the way she flies in real life. This whole myth of X-plane flight dynamics being better is just that, a myth. I've been flying in real life for 53 years and I get a lot more enjoyment out of flying in MSFS...is it perfect? of course not, but it's getting better all the time and perfectly flyable right out of the box with excellent default aircrafts. There is a place for all competition out there and that is very healthy for the siming community. Bottom line is if you enjoy it then use it, but it doesn't have to be a one against the other sort of thing like the Beta vs VHS, or IMB vs Apple debate and snobbery nonsense of the 80's for those who are old enough to remember that 😂

I spent a lot of time trying to land it properly until I realised it's so nose heavy it just wants to dump it onto the runway. The stock Baron, as you mention, isn't worth investing time into, without adding the REP, and I don't know when that will be updated.

Even a half a million $ certified sim i flew was not realistic at all. We used to say "if you could fly the sim the real one will be piece of cake!"😀 Every sim out there is there to practice procedures, not practice the actual flight. Practicing an approach is ok, but practicing landing in a sim would be a big mistake, the real thing will never be the same.

Yes, I had to move the CG way forward to get enough elevator power now lands just fine.@@supanova88
