I do like the figure but for some reason I feel they went a little heavy handed with the light brown weathering paint application, it looks a little distracting at times and feels like it should've been blended more. I was tempted to get the Ric version but I don't like how the dorsals look on it.

Agreed. That's what kept me away from it. The Deforeal looks more accurate funny enough

someone told me that the reason it looks "off" is because when the 27 year-old sculptor sculpted this one, they did not have enough references to base on, as you can see they also decided to go with the double layered teeth like heisei godzilla. But it is still one of the most detailed and stunning 30cm series. When it comes to screen accuracy i think the yuji sakai model is much better.

The sculpture of the face is correct because he is half open. This is a highly finished product with almost no parting line.
