So do I. I get seen as "the Buzz Bee guy" I think by lots, but I love X Shot as well. They make a lot of great stuff, just like these.

I have intermittently seen these pretty much anywhere you see X-Shot - particularly second run stores like Ross and Burlington. Most surprising was the Dollar General exclusive color schemed Meteors... The Orbit is one of my favorite Rival blasters however I tend to find it hard to use due to the number of high-volume spray and pray options in Rival matches. For my money it is the best HIR springer rifle.

That issue of the high rate of fire + high capacity rival type blasters that are getting to be very common is something that has to be balanced by game organizers before starting the battles. That's one of the things that started pushing me away from airsoft years ago, when matches turned into full-auto spam fests. Having total ammo limits per team (like some groups out west due, like the one Jangular used to showcase), spread the spamming blasters out equally per team, or allow springers to have a FPS advantage (my group is slated to have 150 fps cap on springers, 120 on flywheelers for example), or other balancing factors would be great to stop nerf from devolving into what my local airsoft scene became, which actually led to it's downfall.

The Orbit is probably the top tier "Rival" blaster, I have a few small issues with it as well, but it was mainly cosmetic. Great review.

I bought that same package from the same listing awhile back. I haven't tested mine to see if different HIRs will work on it. I hope they do and I don't have a lemon or an unupdated barrel. I may do that at some point. I have a whole bunch of "loadouts" per say that I run, from a simple but serious setup of my modded Interceptor backed up by my Worker Hurricane and a Hammershot or Magnus, to a Snipe backed up by a Destiny and a Panther, to dual Lawbringers. To a Sledgefire backed by a Zenith and Baron, etc. Heck, I'll even run a Centurion with my Super Jolt sometimes (it's a Bigshock set for elites).

I got the same package on Amazon for me and my grandson. We have epic wars inside the house, my wife wants us to go outside lol. Regardless the orbit is definitely an awesome blaster especially for the price.

Mongoose Jake I use Chaos Meteor as my primary blaster in my loadout I use another meteor as a backup to my primary. Then a Adventure Force Sentry as my secondary and a Sweet revenge as a last resort option plus socks for breaking sheilds/special zombies I highly recommend this blaster the sight does not appeal to me other than for flare and help give it a Syfy-esk look I bought 2 of them with the 100 rounds its Awesome and amazing. This is my favorite primary blaster and rival is awesome as well as compatible. Thanks for what you do in this hobby.

I have three Orbits all loaded with 14kg Longshot springs. Super easy mod and they all average 138 fps!

138 sounds reasonable, doesn't effect accuracy too much does it? I know stability can become a issue at certain higher velocities with rival. Part of why when I mod I typically stick with darts.

@@MongooseJakeNerf No, my Orbits are very accurate. I also removed the air restricter so it fires any ammo normally. I've only got to use them at an event once and they are tag makers!

@@albey1816 Chaos rounds are just slightly larger than Rival rounds. They tend not to push the air restricter back enough to open up the way it should. Removing it takes care of that problem and allows for all kinds of high impact rounds to be used.

Hmmm, I know the early Orbit/Chaos had issues firing Rival rounds. I wonder if the one you got are the fixed batches finally.

Albey Early versions had issues firing Rival rounds. It would just randomly fall out or flop out when fired. See Coop772’s review.

I really...REALLY wanted to like these things. But I got the meteor thinking it would be a different and cool variation of the Kronos? Complete and utter disappointment. Completely fails to shoot any nerf or knockoff rival ammo, and barely shoots its own x-shot ammo(which has a higher diameter) reliably. The barrel is just a hair too wide which makes it practically unusable. A damn shame...a normal barrel width would make this a great blaster. I'm guessing the new models got that fixed but the problem is there's no damn way to tell if you got a fixed one or a lemon! I wish they would discontinue these to get the duds out of the way and produce a small variation with the fixed barrel so that people know they're getting the quality that I KNOW x-shot has given before.

Well, this thing shot every type of rival ammo I have (at least 6 types) with great performance. Now, if you're stuck with a early release Meteore with poor performance, try sleeving the barrel with thin aluminum, brass, or copper of the proper size. Not ideal to have to do that, but it may save your blaster's performance.

Was the original issue the internal barrel diameter? - Maybe they should be selling a new barrel replacement for everyone that got a dud could fix it themselves?
