He embedded little magnetic elves in the hone and made them run around to move the razor ! :)

cool! smooth stop motion! Lewis, can you do another vid of you creating another masterpiece?
@lewisrazors8 жыл бұрын
+Hill Top I have been think about making another long start-finish video. I worry I just repeat myself showing the same process over and over.

+lewisrazors Well I for one will watch some of the same videos over and over each time picking up some new nuance that was missed before. Hand-craftsmanship is such a subtle craft to learn to do professionally. Much of it is feel and intuition, and visualizing new concepts can be hard. Repetition is key.

Can you explain me what is the effect on steel leather please man (I really love what you do)
@lewisrazors8 жыл бұрын
+C Alttuz The leather cleans th oxidation off of the steel, I am not sure about making another stop motion animation this one took me a lot longer to make than I thought it would.

Question sir ? Was just handed down my great grandfathers F. Montigel ( finest ) vintage razor and it has some slight surface rust and oxidation want to bring it back to great condition and keep it that way also sharp for use. Can you help ? Thanks Shawn
@lewisrazors8 жыл бұрын
If it has a lot of sentimental value I would recommend practicing on an antique razor first before tackling your grandfathers razor. This straightrazorplace.com/workshop/18504-welcome-workshop-how-do-i-where-do-i-what-do-i-answers-here.html is a good place to start for information. There are a good group of people on that forum to get advice from. I wish you the best with your project.

+Stop Motion I wanted to illustrate the path a straight razor makes on the sharpening stone. It is called an x-stroke.
