This really did not explain the benefits or cons of transferring to 2.0 edition ...

sentino68 that’s a fair point! It was designed for new players, not for those making a transfer, but the video title can’t have helped you. Sorry about that. Benefits of transferring: more factions, more ships, points updates (they’re not printed on the cards anymore!), loads of events and prize support, some gameplay examples are: evade tokens don’t add results, there are now force tokens (for force users) calculates (for droids) and charges (to denote uses of ordinance, R2 shield recharges, pilot abilities). The sum total of all of that is more attacking game, less defensive. Some more positives... There’s no TLT, no autothrusters, no mindlink, Vader is a beast again, you can use target locks to reroll shots with missiles and torpedoes, you can’t change pilot skill anymore (and it’s 1-6 not 1-9, to close up the field) and only a few top aces per faction (e.g. Soontir, Vader, Poe, Han, Wedge), 200 points not 100 (so the designers can play in the details). Oh and no more harpoons! Cons: you have to spend some money to buy in.

@@tinsquadron Thanks for the response to sentino, but some of the pros you list are actually cons to some of us who stuck with 1.0. :) Just my opinion, however!
