The separate vulture droid expansion also has buzz droids whereas the larger expansion doesn't. So it's good to pick up at least 1 to get that.

Honestly, the Buzz Droids/Discord Missiles is the one thing I most looked forward to with the Separatists faction! It's too bad one can only use them with the Separatists...it would be fun to have them in a Scum list!

Another reason why you should get what you want first: If you decide you don't like the game, but you really like B-Wings and you got a B-Wing despite Crabbok's advice (which is very unlikely) then you have a nice B-Wing to put on your shelf and look at.

That's pretty much what I do for Star Wars Armada. I doubt I will ever play the game, or even find someone locally to play with, but I love the miniature ships. Especially for the Clone Wars.

Nantex has Sun Fac, initiative 6 ace which you didn't even mention.....I feel like that's a pretty big oversight if you're making a recommendation video for beginners, who may also be interested in playing an ace archetype. If you purchase Nantex and Jango Fett's Slave 1, you now have two initiative 6 pilots.

The starter packs here are up to 60$ now, cheapest I´ve seen is 50$. Ships are either out of stick or 25$ for small base ships and way over 30$ for medium. During the 1.0 days ships went down in price when they where out of stock or close to it ...

You never know where you will find people to play with. I found the X-wing league I play with after buying an alt card on Ebay that was in the next town over.

I got in to the game only after visiting a local game store and meeting all the friendly people there :) had to make sure there was a weekly meet up before committing to all the purchases! Having said that now I can barely get there with silly work schedules.. most game stores have an event schedule or something you can take a look at online :)

So, based on your preferred outdo these days/for the last few weeks, I propose that Atomic Mass Games' first standalone X-Wing expansion should be a cards-and-cardboard-only pack in your honor called Daylight Savings, non-restricted in faction, and it's a Device. The card would read something like: 3 Charges. During the Systems Phase, use the 4 straight template, plus the 3 bank template (in both directions), and deploy the three Daylight Savings tokens from the rear of the ship with this upgrade equipped. Those flying through the Daylight Savings tokens take 1 damage, 1 stress, and 1 disarm token, and then flip the token from the "Bag" side to the "Flatus Cloud" side. The "Flatus Cloud" tokens are never removed from the board, and all those flying through them take 1 stress and 1 strain token. They do not obstruct shots for those firing through them, nor do they add or subtract to any die rolls for attack or defense. This is a 6 point upgrade, and the charges are non-recurring. That would bring a whole new meaning to the phrase "I was just fartin' around with X-Wing this afternoon"! ;)

Alternate opinion: the HMP is pretty low on this list. It is all-around superior to the Hyena bomber and its survivability is such that a pair of HMPs for $40 is more utilitarian than a single Slave I @ $30 or Sith Infiltrator @ $40....My advice? Get 2 HMPs before any large ship. Regardless, thank you for the list Crabbok!
